"Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard

Law and Its Operation (part 1)

Foreword

This book is concerned with the art of realizing your desire.
It gives you an account of the mechanism used in the production of the visible world. It is a small book but not slight. There is a treasure in it, a clearly defined road to the realization of your dreams.
Were it possible to carry conviction to another by means of reasoned arguments and detailed instances this book would be many times its size. It is seldom possible, however, to do so by means of written statements or arguments since to the suspended judgment it always seems plausible to say that the author was dishonest or deluded, and, therefore, his evidence was tainted.
Consequently, I have purposely omitted all arguments and testimonials, and simply challenge the open-minded reader to practice the law of consciousness as revealed in this book. Personal success will prove far more convincing than all the books that could be written on the subject.

"Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard

I. Law and Its Operation

The world, and all within it, is man’s conditioned consciousness objectified.
Consciousness is the cause as well as the substance of the entire world. So it is to consciousness that we must turn if we would discover the secret of creation.
Knowledge of the law of consciousness and the method of operating this law will enable you to accomplish all you desire in life. Armed with a working knowledge of this law, you can build and maintain an ideal world.
Consciousness is the one and only reality, not figuratively but actually.
This reality may for the sake of clarity be likened unto a stream which is divided into two parts, the conscious and the sub-conscious. In order to intelligently operate the law of consciousness it is necessary to understand the relationship between the conscious and the subconscious.
The conscious is personal and selective, the subconscious is I'm ersonal and nonselective.
The conscious is the realm of effect; the subconscious is the realm of cause. These two aspects are the male and female divisions of consciousness. The conscious is male; the subconscious is female. The conscious generates ideas and I'm resses these ideas on the subconscious; the subconscious receives ideas and gives form and expression to them.
By this law, first conceiving an idea and then I'm ressing the idea conceived on the subconscious will make all things evolve out of consciousness and manifest in our 3D reality; and without this sequence there is not anything made that is made.
The conscious I'm resses the subconscious while the subconscious expresses all that is I'm ressed upon it.
The subconscious does not originate ideas but accepts as true those which the conscious mind feels to be true and in a way known only to itself objectifies the accepted ideas. Therefore, through his power to imagine and feel and his freedom to choose the idea he will entertain, man has control over creation. Control of the subconscious is accomplished through control of your ideas and feelings.
The mechanism of creation is hidden in the very depth of the subconscious, the female aspect or womb of creation. The subconscious transcends reason and is independent of induction. It contemplates a feeling as a fact existing within itself and on this assumption proceeds to give expression to it. The creative process begins with an idea and its cycle runs its course as a feeling and ends in a volition to act.
Ideas are I'm ressed on the subconscious through the medium of feeling.
No idea can be I'm ressed on the subconscious until it is felt, but once felt - be it good, bad or indifferent - it must be expressed.
Feeling is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious. Therefore, the man who does not control his feeling may easily I'm ress the subconscious with undesirable states. By control of feeling is not meant restraint or suppression of your feeling, but rather the disciplining of self to imagine and entertain only such feeling as contributes to your happiness. Control of your feeling is all I'm ortant to a full and happy life.
Never entertain an undesirable feeling nor think sympathetically about wrong in any shape or form. Do not dwell on the I'm erfection of yourself or others, to do so is to I'm ress the subconscious with these limitations. What you do not want done unto you, do not feel that it is done unto you or another. This is the whole law of a full and happy life. Everything else is commentary.
Every feeling makes a subconscious Impression and unless it is counteracted by a more powerful feeling of an opposite nature must be expressed. The dominant of two feelings is the one expressed. I am healthy is a stronger feeling than I will be healthy. To feel I will be is to confess I am not; I am is stronger than I am not. What you feel you are always dominates what you feel you would like to be; therefore, to be realized the wish must be felt as a state that is rather than a state that is not.
Sensation precedes manifestation and is the foundation upon which all manifestation rests. Be careful of your moods and feelings, for there is an unbroken connection between your feelings and your visible world. Your body is an emotional filter and bears the unmistakable marks of your prevalent emotions. Emotional disturbances, especially suppressed emotions, are the causes of all disease.

Manifesting Your Heart's Desire, part 4

I talked to other people that seemed to find it easier than many others they knew to manifest things. They too had many of the same questions as me. Why is it that some people are able to manifest all really wonderful things while others struggle? Why is it that we are able to manifest to a certain extent and then find it difficult to go beyond that? And if we can harness what we ARE doing right, can we teach it to others? And in this teaching to others, can we go beyond what we already are able to manifest and pull everyone else along with us that is also willing to go beyond, making it that much easier for them?
Hence this experiment.

Heaven knows I don't have all the answers myself. I keep experimenting with different things the Grandfathers and my other Guides and Angels suggest and I throw those things out in my newsletters to see if others might find them helpful. I read every book, listen to every tape, visit websites, any source where I can find out about and learn more on this manifesting business and Universal Law. I meditate on it almost daily. I ask for validations and signs. How can we make it quicker and easier? And is it even okay to ask that it does become easier? The response to this last question was to my mind most profound. For what I heard was "The more that each of you feels you are totally capable of creating anything that you desire, the faster
you will have peace and the faster Humankind will evolve". Sounds like a good reason to me!

On the next page and hopefully other pages to come, I shall be listing different things that I have been working with that have helped me manifest all the good that is already in my life. Some of the tools I shall offer are books, essences, affirmations, audio tapes, websites, crystals, anything that I come across that has been helpful for me and others. Yet I also don't want this to just be about me throwing things out there. I also want to hear from those of you that desire to
participate in this experiment as I shall be outlining below. What works for you? If you use any of the techniques or resources that will be outlined in the weeks and months to come, what have your results been? I would really like to be able to upload everyone's comments, suggestions and tools that they have used to these pages so that they may benefit others. Perhaps there can even be a questions and answers page though I do ask that others please do feel free to answer
questions as well for surely I sI'm ly cannot do it all myself. You can submit questions and answers to me and I will be happy to upload them as quickly as I can. If you do not want your name to be use, I will designate you as Anonymous though please be sure to let me know!

Manifestation, part 9

The Journey is the Reward

Of course, it is a lot of fun to actually LIVE in that new house rather than just DREAM about it, but this universe is set up so that you cannot live your dream until you are at the exact feeling place you would be if you WERE living it.

In effect, you have to already BE living it before it can manifest. That's because we live in a universe where everything in existence has a unique pattern of vibration, and the universe is set up to always match vibration.

If you are doing this process correctly, it will feel good even though what you want hasn't yet come. In other words, it should feel good to want the thing you want! If what you want makes you feel uncomfortable, then find something else to feel good about. Since what
you want feels good, that means you can feel good about anything and still receive what you want. It's easier to manifest anything by feeling good than by feeling crummy!

If you are undertaking the creative process just for the manifestation, there will be a lot of frustration, for you will look at where you are now and where you want to be, and there will be a big chasm there. You will say something like "I don't like this apartment. It sucks. It would feel a whole lot better if I had a lot of money. Then I could get a house". That energetic chasm of unmatched vibration makes it Impossible for a vibrational match, and so you do not manifest.

When an artist paints a great painting, she is not bitching and complaining the whole time because the painting is not complete! She is throwing herself into the creative process with verve and gusto, and having a great time with the work. That is how the creative process should feel.

The creative process is all about making something different from the currently experienced reality, so do not focus so much on your current experience! You must deliberately create the vibration of where you want to be, even while living in the current experience, and you can
only do that by imagining, pretending, feeling and visualizing your desire as if you already had it. This is fun!

The journey is the reward, and the manifestation is just the reason for the journey! Because there will always be another journey, and another manifestation. The process is ongoing, eternal. It never gets done, that's what eternal means --- continuous creation.

So have fun creating, and receive everything you desire!

Manifestation,part 7

Background Theory

Everything in existence has a unique pattern of vibration. Humans are vibrational interpreters. Matter is full of holes (the atom is 99% space) so why do we perceive it as solid? The ONLY reason we perceive all of that space (matter) as solid is because we are vibrationally tuned in to it. That vibrational tuning is also how we perceive and manifest into our physical experience. Buckminster Fuller made this clear in his masterwork called Synergetics
It's all about vibration, and energy alignment to the vibration of the thing that is wanted.

The Value of Action

Sometimes taking action before your energy is lined up can help jar you into better creating, but this is usually a sign that afterwards you still need to do some more work clarifying your visualization. Sometimes just getting off your butt and into a little action can be a good thing, even if it is ineffective action! It can help to break up old energy patterns. But remember that the universe will always answer your vibration, so if your energy is not lined up with your goal, it won't come to you precisely as intended. It will come with all of the other I'm urities mixed up with it in your thought stream. This is the most frustrating part about the creative process, because we THINK we have our energy all lined up, but what we get is not a match to our intention.

By examining what did manifest, we can identify old beliefs and feelings and further clarify our visualization.

Don't give up just because you have been at it for a while and still haven't received! Continue the process of aligning your energy and when it feels better, go into action again and observe the results. When your energy is fully a vibrational match to your desire, you will feel it. You will KNOW it. After that, you know it will come, and the game is over! You've won.

Usually, any action taken out of a sense that "it has to be done" is a sign that you have not aligned your energy clearly enough to your goal. Under these conditions, you will struggle to a slight or great degree. Here's an example: I decided to raise my prices in my contracting work last summer. But I didn't really believe that the market could support it. So every time I bid a job at the new price, I never got it. Funny how that works. Because my energy was not lined up, I continued to attract the clients that were only willing to pay me at the old rates. It was only after I went back and removed some of my old beliefs about my self worth and about money, over the holidays, that I was able to bid these jobs comfortably. Now, I am not quite so booked, but I am working at my new, higher rates. If my energy was completely aligned to my goal, I would be overflowing with customers at the new rates.

So I know I still have some work to do!

Manifestation,part 6

The Law of Attraction

The Prize

The prize is always a state of beingness. It is never the thing manifested. Why is this? Because the only reason you want anything in the first place, is because you think it will make you feel good! A material object is fun to use and play around with, but an object does not have the inherent ability to make you feel good. That is why a rich person can still be miserable.

A state of beingness is an attitude, an emotion, a feeling, a point of perception. It is something within you. It is what you are at any moment of Now. It is the nature of consciousness. A doingness or a havingness is something outside of yourself, but a state of being is intrinsic to your very essence.

The manifestation, when it occurs, just helps to hold you in a state of beingness, an attitude of joy.

If you attempt to go into action before your energy is properly aligned to your goal, you will struggle. So if you are struggling, unfixate and take another look at the situation. Don't keep trying new actions in a desperate attempt to pull it off! Go back to the state of beingness. All creation is done from a state of beingness, not doingness. Doingness comes after a state of beingness is attained, if you are smart! A beingness of confusion about what you want will lead
to a doingness of struggle and hard work. A beingness of complete clarity about what you want will inevitably lead to a doingness of effortless and effective action towards your goal.

Some might be worried about this reliance on beingness as opposed to action, because the difficulties aren't apparent to you when you are just imagining it. Everything just goes hunk-dory when you dream it up, but that's not often how it goes down in the 'real world.'

However, if you work with this process for a while, you will discover that a beingness which is aligned energetically to your goal will, when action is taken, always lead you to handling of the precise roadblocks in your way, so that the actions you take will be minimized and always effective . 'Work smart, not hard", as one of my teachers used to say. If you are finding that you are not getting results, stop what you are doing, go back and find more clarity in your vision
of what you want. If you have complete clarity and alignment of energy to your goal, you will be led inexorably to the most efficient actions necessary for manifestation. It is inevitable! And need I say that when your energy is fully aligned to your desire or goal, that you feel great? If you are creating but not having fun, you're going to be waiting a long time to get what you want!

Manifestation,part 5

Nothing comes to you, manifests for you, unless you are ALREADY a vibrational match to it. That's just the way the universe works. The universe, through the powerful and infallible Law of Vibration and the Law of 'like attracts like', matches people up with other people,
objects, and situations which are like unto them. So any manifestation is just a by-product of the alignment of energy within yourself to your goal.

It's the alignment of energy within you which is the true reward, not the manifestation. This may seem like an absurd statement, because it feels so great to have the manifestation. I'm not saying it wouldn't be better to actually BE in that new house which has actual
physical existence, than it would to just imagine being there. But, you can't get the house unless you already are in that vibrational place of knowing exactly how it feels to be there. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. You get what you get by being a vibrational match to it, for better or for worse.

In other words, you have to vibe up to what you want to get what you want!

If you honestly look over your life to find out how you manifested something you wanted (or didn't want), you will inevitably find, if you look closely enough, that you were already there, vibrationally, in the exact place of your desire, before it manifested. That is the concept that is so difficult to understand, because most of us have been taught that this is a world of action, and that 'positive thinking' is just so much b.s. But it is just the opposite! This is a universe of thought, and matching thought, and the only reason anything comes to you is through thought.

That is why the aligning of your energy is so Important!

Moreover, once you have consciously applied the law of 'like attracts like' deliberately to get something you want, you know you can do it over and over. Now you can manifest at will, and stop depending upon "luck" and hard work.

As much as 95% of the work in getting something can be aligning your energy to it. The other 5% can be the action necessary, in the physical universe, to do the leg-work to get it. But this action will be effortless, because it is action along the path of least resistance. At every step along the way doors will open for you and the whole process will be joyful! This is the origin of
'synchronicity.' Many people think that it is luck, or chance, or angels, or Spirit, doing the work for you; that it is somehow all magical. Well it IS magical, but it is also precise and logical. The
universe matches vibration. And it never misses.

Have you ever gotten something and just KNOWN it was coming? That is the alignment of energy I'm talking about. It can be done deliberately.

Manifestation,part 4

The Belief in Hard Work

The most inefficient workers are always those who are working the hardest. The best workers are the ones who get their tasks done effortlessly. The workers who do their work effortlessly are those who have completely aligned themselves to the task at hand. They know exactly what to do and when to do it and there is no question about it. They are 'in the zone', and their effort is joyful. The ones who are sweating, on the contrary, are in a state of disconnect from their tasks. They are disconnected from themselves as well. That is why they are struggling so much. All of their effort LOOKS good, but is inefficient. Their energies are not aligned to the task they are attempting.

It's like using a gigantic fire hose to move a rock off your driveway. There is water flying all over the place! All the neighbors are fascinated with the tremendous gouts of spray gushing about, it makes good entertainment, but really all you had to do was go pick up the rock and give it a toss!

Nothing comes to you, manifests for you, unless you are ALREADY a vibrational match to it. That's just the way the universe works. The universe, through the powerful and infallible Law of Vibration and the Law of 'like attracts like', matches people up with other people, objects, and situations which are like unto them. So any manifestation is just a by-product of the alignment of energy withinyourself to your goal.

MANIFESTATION, Part 1

MANIFESTATION, Part 1

( I think this is also by Kenneth James Michael MacLean)

The subject of manifestation is so Important.
How do we attain what wewant? It's so easy to think and dream, but how do we translate those
dreams to reality? Why do some people get what they want easily, andothers have such a hard time?

Basics of Manifestation

Manifesting anything depends upon knowing what you want. Knowing what you want is the very first thing to resolve for yourself, in the creative process.

This may seem to be so obvious, but ask yourself, do you have a clear idea of exactly what and how you want your life to be? If so, you are probably already living it, and you can skip this essay! If not, you are not even at the starting gate. Manifestation is about the ability
to create. By create, we mean being, doing, and/or having something different from your current reality. If you know what you want, without hesitation or doubt, and your contemplation of it makes you feel good, then manifestation is just around the corner (See "
Aligning Energy " for a more in-depth discussion). But if, when thinking about your desire, there is discomfort of any kind, this is a signal that you have beliefs which are opposed to the having of it. In other words, the feeling of discomfort indicates a contradiction within you, regarding the thing you want.

And so you will receive, not what you want, but a sort of mixed bag of things which are a match to the contradictory thoughts and feelings you have regarding it.

This is something that most people don't understand: in life, you receive according to what your focus is on, not according to what is wanted! This may seem unfair, but when you think about it a little, in a well- organized universe, the only way to deliver accurately to all who are asking, is to respond precisely to the signals that are being sent forth. In other words, when you tune your TV set to channel 8, you get the signal from channel 8, and not from channel 2! If this were not so, there would be total chaos, and in such a chaotic universe, life could not even get organized enough to exist at all.

So in order to manifest, ones thoughts, beliefs and feelings must be precisely aligned to that which is wanted.

There are 3 big steps to overcome in the manifestation process. We have already talked about the first one -- getting clear on what you
want.

ALIGNING ENERGY,part 4

ALIGNING ENERGY,by Kenneth James Michael MacLean

The seventh step is the realization that your new vibration now feels more comfortable than the old one did. At this stage, you have clarified, purified and aligned your energy to your desire so well that it feels natural to live in this new way, or to have that thing you want. Even if you are still living your old life, your vibration is primarily aligned towards the new, so that it almost feels weird to be doing the old things or going without that thing you want. If what you are wanting would pop into your life right now, it would seem totally natural to you.

The eighth step is the observation in the physical universe of your goal or dream manifesting. This step actually occurs little by little along the way. It may start out in the early stages with little things you notice that remind you of where you are going. Then, as you get further along, more concrete manifestations will occur, until finally, the whole thing falls right into your lap.

For example, if your goal is to buy a house, you may find yourself driving along a street in just the kind of neighborhood you would love to live in. Or, you will turn on the TV and there will be a program dealing with home construction. Or you will get a call from a realtor friend, who has seen a house she thinks you would love. As you get further along aligning your energy, you may get a birthday card from Uncle Kurt who has included a check for $5,000 that you can apply
towards a down-payment. Or perhaps that new job we mentioned earlier. Many times manifestation will not occur in the way you thought it would, or planned it would. So when your life begins to change, it may change in unanticipated ways. Just go with the flow, it will turn out wonderful. The universe has an infinite variety of surprising ways to bring you what you want, once you have aligned your energy towards it!

The ninth step is the full manifestation. Now you are living your new life, or have the thing that you desired, or have reached your goal. You feel a sense of accomplishment, and expansiveness. It's a great feeling! But now you find out what was said in step five: having is not all it is cranked up to be! The having is the culmination of the process and when it happens, you feel magnificent!!! -- for a while.
Then the feeling wears off.

ALIGNING ENERGY,part 3

ALIGNING ENERGY
by Kenneth James Michael MacLean

The sixth step is creating "from the inside out."

The tendency when aligning your energy to something new, is to think it will manifest because of some external force. Many people see the creative energy outside of themselves, bringing what is wanted to them from the outside in. Although the universe will arrange things for you
in the "real world", in response to your vibration, creating in such a fashion is energetically backwards. The energy you are aligning, which will bring you what you want, is all from inside of you. You are the creator! FEEL the creative power coming from within you, radiating outwards into the universe. You are sending out a vibrational beacon, a homing signal that beckons those things you are wanting, to come to you.

It turns out that this concept is very I'm ortant in the creative process. By seeing the creative power as something outside of you, you automatically separate yourself from the energy you are aligning to, creating an energetic chasm between you and what you want. Feeling the creative power coming from inside of you is indescribable. The energy of creation fills every cell in your body, and expands to encompass your entire energy field. It is a rush of exquisite, powerful,
blissful energy which fills you with joy and awe. Once you, have experienced this, you will never ingest substances to get high. That stuff is pitiful and pathetic in comparison to the energy of
creation. Creative energy is the energy that keeps the entire planet in balance. It is the energy that keeps the sun converting hydrogen to helium, that keeps the planets in precise orbit, that creates universes! It is the energy of LIFE. This powerful energy is ALWAYS
available to you in your creative process.

ALIGNING ENERGY,part 2

ALIGNING ENERGY,by Kenneth James Michael MacLean,part 2

You see, the having of something only serves to help maintain a vibration, a feeling place, that was already there in the first place. That's because in order for something to manifest in your life, you already had to be a vibrational match to it! Seems strange to say it, but it's true. It's all a result of the powerful law of 'like attracts like'. So the manifestation is just a by-product of the alignment of your energy to your vision. It's that wonderful feeling of aligning energy that is the true reward. That's the pearl within the shell of existence. (Thus the old saying: "wealth does not buy happiness.")

That's why when you finally get something you want, it's often not as exciting as you thought it was going to be. You have assigned all of
the I'm ortance to the having of the object, when it is really the aligning of your energy towards it that causes you to feel so good.

ALIGNING ENERGY,by Kenneth James Michael MacLean

ALIGNING ENERGY
by Kenneth James Michael MacLean

The fifth step, which I have already described, is being able to purely focus upon the energy of what is wanted. This is a major step, because you have to be clear enough not to have old beliefs and feelings I'm inging on you every time you attempt to place yourself in your new vibration. You will find, if you are like me, that it will take quite a bit of visualization and holding your vibration where you want it, before you can do this step easily. But once you reach the
point of being able to hold your vibration purely for around 15 or 20 seconds at a time, just being in the feeling of it, the deliciousness of it, without contradictory thought or feeling, you
are on your way to much quicker manifestation. Of course, if you have reached this stage, you no longer really care whether you ever experience the manifestation. Because, and here is the key, once you create your vision and have a good feeling about it, you have to let it go. If you get hung up worrying about the fact you haven't got it yet, you will be sticking yourself in the present. Robert Fritz does a great job describing this idea in his wonderful book called "The Path of Least Resistance", about the creative process. When you can align your energy to your dream, in that higher vibration, it feels so good that you don't feel the need to hold on so tightly to the present. You are envisioning for the sheer pleasure of it!

The Infallibility of the Law of Attraction, part 5

As you imagine yourself where you want to be, you will discover old, resistive thought patterns or feelings. When these come up, just release them. These old thought patterns are not only blocking the flow of your desire, but also the manifestation energy the universe is sending you,in response to your new vibration. So by ridding yourself of old, resistive thoughts and feelings you are unblocking yourself on the outflow of your vibrational signal and on the inflow, the
answering response from your environment. For example, if you are relaxed and happy about your new house, you may get an I'm ulse to interview for a better paying job you saw in the newspaper. The interviewer just happens to be in a good mood that morning, and the
interview turns out great. You get to talking after and you both hit it off. You get the job, and now you can see some light at the end of the financial tunnel. If you were feeling crummy about getting the down payment, you would have arrived when the interviewer was in a bad mood, the interview would have sucked, and you'd still be in the old job wondering where the bucks were going to come from.

This was a very hard step for me. It was very difficult for me to overcome the idea that the reality I observe is senior to the reality I create through my visualization. Whenever I started to feel really good about creating a life of financial independence, thoughts of my present reality would always I'm inge. Since the current reality was far from financial security, it was hard to hold my vibration purely. Once I began to do so, however, I began to notice subtle changes in
my current reality that more closely matched with my visualized reality. This made it easier to hold my vibration purely and led to faster manifestation of what I wanted. It's easy to say, just release old thoughts and feelings, but here's a way to do it that really worked for me:

Imagine a feeling of relief. We all know how this feels -- like a burden being lifted from you. You feel lighter! Just imagine a feeling of relief from any old thought pattern or unwanted emotion; try to achieve a feeling of being released from a burden. I imagined this big weight being liftedfrom inside me, and being burned up in a big fire. Whatever works for you is good!

The Infallibility of the Law of Attraction, part 4

The fourth step is realizing that the energy you want to align to, is the energy of where you are going, not where you are. This may seem too obvious, but it is very I'm ortant. If you have an office job that you hate, but would like to be self-employed, you must align your energies to being self-employed. This can be difficult, because your present reality is all about the office. You get up every morning and spend the entire day there. You can't align your energy to being
self-employed if your every thought is about the office! So what to do?

Imagine as many times as you can during the day, what it would feel like to be on your own. Visualize what you would be doing. Play with it. You'd be surprised how often you can do this if you really want to. The more you can get your vibration up to speed with your desire, the faster it will come to you. But also remember to do this process for the fun of it. Stay in the energy of your desire because it feels good, not because it's going to get you somewhere, otherwise
you create an energetic chasm which separates you from what you want.

It's Important not to have a "must have" on your desire. This "must have" feeling comes from a feeling of wanting something very badly, but it sticks you in your current reality.

The Infallibility of the Law of Attraction, part 3

The third step is staying in the present moment while deliberately envisioning what you want. Go through life as much as possible, living in 'now' time. The 'now' moment exists for all eternity, and always is the moment of creation. Envision having what you want NOW. You envision what you want in the now, and when it comes to you, it will be in the now. It's hard to communicate this concept, because we perceive time as linear -- past, present, future. But the linearity of
time is an illusion. The present moment is the platform for everything that is created in the universe, because only by being fully conscious can one effectively create. And one can be fully conscious only by being fully present NOW. Live with your vision and the feeling of it as much as possible, no matter what you are doing.

Never dwell on negative events of the past. What's done is done and by far your most powerful point of attraction, by many orders of magnitude, is in the present. When you start to create in this way you will be amazed at how many of your thoughts will be opposed to what you are trying to create. That's OK, as long as you don't pursue them. Stay in the present moment and continue to create what you want! Sometimes it is good to spend some time in the now, relishing past moments of pleasure. This is especially useful when you are having a bad day. ANYTHING you can do to bring yourself to a place of feeling good is valuable, because you are raising your vibe up to speed with your desire!

The Infallibility of the Law of Attraction, part 2

The second step in aligning your energy is to have a clear idea of what your goal or desire is. Most people don't get exactly what they intend, because their vision is not crystal clear! You will know you have achieved clarity when you can recreate, at will, the feeling of what it would be like to have, or be living, your desire. By clearly visualizing your new life, or the thing that is wanted, you will generate a positive emotional response within you. These positive feelings are your vibrational platform for attraction from the universe, via the law of 'like attracts like'.

The Infallibility of the Law of Attraction, part 1

The first step is having a solid understanding of the basic laws of the universe and trusting in the infallibility of Law of Attraction. The more certain you are that the universe really does unerringly match vibration, the clearer your vision and intent for what you want can be, and the easier it will be for you to hold your vibration purely, without contradiction You have to trust that the universe can and will deliver to you precisely as you intend, otherwise the entire process described here will seem little more than wishful thinking, and a waste of time.

In order to get some confidence that the universe really is a benign place, and will respond to you as you intend, try deliberately focusing your attention on something small, like blue-jays, or red roses, or whatever strikes your fancy. It won't be long before you see
these things everywhere, and you'll wonder where they all came from!

Part Three: Where has all the Magic Gone?

I think that down deep we, as a people, fear the idea of being made in
the image and likeness of God. I think we fear being of the same Being
as God. We fear being that drop of ocean. Because, really, if we are
just like God, something is really wrong here. Our world is chock full
of problems" misery, poverty, sickness, hate, destruction.
Granted, humanity has demonstrated wonderful things throughout
history, but has also demonstrated great horrors. Brutal, senseless,
evil horrors. So the thought of Man being one with God is a very scary
thing indeed. Somebody or something has got to be better and more
powerful than we are. Oddly, denying our own power is the only way we
can feel safe in this world.

Maybe we should give up the self-judgment and take Gods word
for it - we have power that we are not aware of. Or, since people have
historically demonstrated feats of magic, maybe I should say that we
were once aware of it but, over the years, our own logic has obscured
it from our consciousness.

It seems that at some point in time, we began to move away from the
idea of being magic, of having mental control over the physical world.
Religious leaders not only deemed it an evil ritual but also
persecuted those that attempted to practice their personal power. At
roughly the same time, people became more inquisitive of the workings
of the physical world and turned to the scientific method. We became
more and more logical, needing empirical evidence to back our beliefs.
Our pursuit of science took us further and further away from the
reality of humans performing magic but is now beginning to
take us closer and closer again.

Part Two: Where has all the Magic Gone?

Throughout history, magic has had a place in religion as well.
Christianity is no different, though no one really looks at
Christianity in this type of light. After all, wasn't it magic
when Jesus turned water into wine? Wasn't it magic when he fed
hundreds of people with several fish and a few loaves of bread?
Wasn't it magic when he walked on water? What else can you
really call it? Religious leaders don't call it magic, they
call it a miracle. If we define magic as the ability to have mental
control over the physical world, then a miracle is magic practiced by
God. But the religious leaders throughout our history have said that
only God can have this power. Normal people are not allowed to perform
these spectacular feats because it is blasphemous and offensive to
God. It is evil. Yet God never said that was the case. Contrarily, he
said the opposite" that man and God are one, that Man is made
in His exact image and likeness, that what He can do we can do. Much
like a drop of ocean is not the entire ocean, but is an individualized
portion of the ocean and has the exact same attributes. And even
though God has given us this message throughout the ages, Man
disagrees. It is Man that has said that magic is glorious when God
performs it, but evil when Man performs it.

So why would we turn away from a power that we desperately want and
are told that we have?

Part One: Where Has the Magic Gone?

"We all accept the reality with
which we are presented."

Part One: Where Has the Magic Gone?
-Jeff Thornton

The overwhelming success of the Harry Potter books and the recent
release of the movie, to which people are flocking in droves, has
gotten me thinking about society's fascination with magic. Of
course, Harry Potter is just the latest entertainment success playing
on the magical theme. There have been many others, surely more than I
know. The Jedi Knights of Star Wars performed a type of magic by
working with the Force and we all know how popular Star Wars was and
still remains. I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, and Sabrina the Teenage
Witch all gained huge success on television. Magic is an integral part
of the Lord of the Rings novels, and has become a principal theme of
the fantasy genre as a whole.

So why do we love the idea of being able to snap our fingers, twitch
our noses, or blink our eyes and have whatever we want whenever we
want it? It's undeniably appealing.

These novels, movies, and television shows are so successful because
they demonstrate the type of power we all want. We'd all like
to be able to manifest things right out of thin air. We'd all
like to be able to move things with our minds. We all want to have
mental command of our physical world. And, strangely, it almost feels
like we should be able to do these wonderful things, "like it's
somehow our birthright." ( quotation marks mine!)

Certainly we are not the first culture to connect with the concept of
magic. Stories of people who could perform physically impossible feats
have traveled down through history to us. Magic was an integral part
of the history of the ancient Egyptians, the ancient Mesopotamians,
the Persians, Greeks, Druids, and Celts, not to mention the more
commonly known legends of medieval Europe.

Can these stories be just the whimsical fantasies of a people long
past, a people entrenched in a difficult life and just simply wishing
for the power to make it better? And is that why we love these stories
so much because we wish life could be easier for us? Or is
our emotional connection with the concept of magic an intuitive
feeling, a subconscious knowing, of what we, as humans, are actually
capable of being?
