Creating Wealth - Rearrange The Mind, Neville Goddard

I have mentioned 100kwatt's YouTube channel and how he has a lot of Neville lectures posted there that you can listen to.I have been listening a lot to one lecture in particular, "Rearrange The Mind".
Of course you need to listen to the whole lecture, but the last part (part 5 of 5) seems to me to crystallize everything he says in the lecture.
Especially starting at about the 6:00 minute mark...

"Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong."
Joel 3:10 (KJV)

This goes back to Neville saying that you should imagine what you want to be, not what you are.
Even if it flies in the face of all logic, if you are weak, say you are strong, if you are poor, say you are rich.
You can be satisfied with where you are, or you can change where you are.

I'm not advocating just thinking and doing nothing.
Or as another famous man said:

"To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?"

As Neville said, go about your business and do your Father's work.
We live in the land of Caesar and Caesar's requirements must be met.

But the first step to change is to mentally changing where you are.
Change your "State".
All the physical change in the world wont do you any good unless you first change your mind.

Change "I am sick, I'll never get better because I am sick" to "I am healthy."
Change "I am poor, things will never get better." to "I am rich."

Assume that you are what you want to be right now and go from there.
You can be sick, and if you do not change your mind set, you can take all the drugs, treatments in the world and you will stay sick, or relapse into the sickness.

You can be poor and get the best job in the world, the best education, and if you don't change your state, you will be right back where you started from in no time.

And the cool thing about this is that you can mentally change right now as you are reading this.
You don't have to wait, or take a seminar or read a series of books.
Just close your eyes, and imagine what it would feel like to be free of your burdens.
Hold onto that.
Just feel the relief, the peace, the joy.
Then every time fear and doubt come back into your mind, do it again.
When you doubt, you return to your former state, so you have to get back out of that state and back into the state that you want to be in.

It probably wont be easy.
It isn't easy for me.
I have so many things staring me down right now it's not even funny.
But I close my eyes, take a deep breath, exhale and imagine it's all taken care of.
I am where I want to be, who I want to be.
Then I continue on "doing my Father's work".

My Make It or Break It Experiment...Update

Well here is my promised update.....

Got a letter from the bank today postponing the sale ANOTHER 30 days.
So the old deadline is gone.

Yes, that should go in the miracle category.

Now I have done everything "in the world of Caesar" that I should do, though now I have a few more hoops to jump through.

So what else have I been doing?

Seeing the foreclosure as stopped.
More importantly, feeling the relief I would feel when I got word it was stopped.

Saying "Isn't it wonderful", "Thank you Father" and a new one..." Something wonderful is happenng to me now." that I got from Neville Goddard's "The Game of Life".

Yes I know this blog is supposed to be about creating wealth, how to attract money, the laws of attraction etc., and right now I am writing about breaking even.

Baby steps.

I have seen this does work.
I have evidence.
Now I need to increase my faith and go beyond the point I am now of just holding things off.

And yes, I have begun to see pennies again.
Pennies and more.
As in $115 dollars showed up literally out of the blue to pay a bill.

I am having a great deal more success with this than I did any mantra.

The key here is to "feel" the relief, the happiness, that you would feel should the thing you desire comes to pass.
I cannot stress that enough.
Even if you have to fake it at first, keep doing it.

To further drive this point home, here is an excerpt from Neville's "The Game of Life"...

The game of life, like every game, is played within the framework of certain rules, and any violation of those
rules carries a penalty. You and I are playing this game from morning to night, and should therefore learn its
rules in order to play it well.

Ecclesiastes gives us this rule: "Even in your thought do not curse the king, or in your bed chamber curse the
rich, for a bird will carry your voice or some winged creature tell the matter."And Mark gives us another, as:
"Whatever you desire, believe that you have received it and you will." If you must believe you have received
your desire in order to attain it, then you must start your game by believing it is finished. You must feel
yourself into and partaking of your goal. And you must persist in that feeling in order to achieve it.

Now, another rule is said in this manner: "Cast your bread upon the water and you will find it after many
days." In other words, do not be concerned as to how it is going to happen - just do it. This statement hasn’t
a thing to do with doing good as the world defines the word. Jesus was a carpenter. The word means one
who produces from seed - as a flower, a tree, the earth.

The prophecy of the Old Testament is the seed which a carpenter called Jesus brings to birth. He comes not
to abolish the law and the prophets but to fulfill them.
The word, “bread” in the statement: "Cast your bread upon the waters," means to devour; to consume.
Water is a euphemism for semen, that living water which carries the sperm of man. The creative act is
psychological, not physical; yet the intentions are the same. You must cast your bread upon the waters with
passion! You must be consumed with the desire and literally on fire with love for its possession, for an intense
imaginal act will always draw unto itself its own affinity.

Winston Churchill departed this world a very successful man; however, during his life he had many failures.
Then one day he made this discovery, which changed his life. These are his words: "The mood decides the
fortunes of people, rather than the fortunes decide the mood."

Let me put it this way: The game of life is won by those who compare their thoughts and feelings within to
what appears on the outside. And the game is lost by those who do not recognize this law. Being consumed
by anger, they see no change in their world. But if they would change their mood, their circumstances would
change. Then they would recognize the law behind their world.

There are those who are depressed all day long and remain that way all of their life. I remember back in New
York City, when I would see certain people walking in my direction I would want to cross the street,
because I did not want to hear their depressing stories. They would spend hours telling about their wife or
husband, their children or grandchildren, and each story geared to depression. Never changing their mood,
their world never changed. Seeing no change, they would not recognize a law between the inner world they
maintain and the outer world of response.

But if you apply this law you can predict your future. Feel a new mood rise within you. Sustain it and soon
you will meet people who embody this new state. Even inanimate objects are under the sway of these
affinities. In a certain mood I have gone to my library and removed a book I have not touched in years. And
when I casually open it, I find confirmation of my mood. A table, though remaining the same, will be seen
differently based upon your momentary mood, for everything reflects it. It is your mood which decides your
fortune, not your fortune that decides your mood. People feeling poor attract poverty, not knowing that if
they felt rich they would attract wealth.

My Make It or Break It Experiment

Okay, this is a little different post.

This is gonna be my "make it or break it" manifesting experiment.

Our house is heading for foreclosure, and to stop it I have to come up with 5,000 dollars before March 15th.

Now we all know the techniques, I have been studying them for years.

I've made it through Cancer, so I guess this is my next big test.

I have to imagine now as if I already have the 5,000 dollars, it's paid and everything is okay.

I've detailed my own experiments here in the past, but this one is gonna be the big one.

Okay, Cancer was bigger, but this is a big one too.

Neville says to think, feel and act as though something is already done.
And that is what I am trying very hard to do.

But as I have pointed out before, that is very hard with something staring you in the face.
Of course I spoke from experience there, because I stared Cancer in the face.

And while I'm doing this, I wouldn't mind at all if some of you (or all of you) out there saw me as posting that the 5,000 was a done deal and that the house was free and clear.
As Neville said" Sharing the burden".

I'll keep everyone updated on how this is going.

And I thank everyone now for their thoughts, prayers and energy.

Like I said, just imagine that everything is fine NOW and that everything is taken care of.
I (and you) don't have to see how or why it happened, just that it is already done.

And to illustrate this point, here is an excerpt from a talk Neville gave on radio station KECA in Los Angeles back in July, 1951....

"How would you feel if your prayer were answered?
Well, assume that feeling until you experience in imagination what you would experience in reality if your prayer were answered.
Prayer means getting into action mentally.
It means holding the attention upon the idea of the wish fulfilled until it fills the mind and crowds all other ideas out of the consciousness.
This statement that prayer means getting into action mentally and holding the attention upon the idea of the wish fulfilled until it fills the mind and crowds all other ideas out of the consciousness, does not mean that prayer is a mental effort – an act of will.
On the contrary, prayer is to be contrasted with an act of will.
Prayer is a surrender.
It means abandoning oneself to the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
If prayer brings no response – there is something wrong with the prayer and the fault lies generally in too much effort.
Serious confusion arises insofar as men identify the state of prayer with an act of will, instead of contrasting it with an act of will.
The sovereign rule is to make no effort, and if this is observed, you will intuitively fall into the right attitude.
Creativeness is not an act of will, but a deeper receptiveness – a keener susceptibility.
The acceptance of the end – the acceptance of the answered prayer – finds the means for its realization.
Feel yourself into the state of the answered prayer until the state fills the mind and crowds all other states out of your consciousness.
What we must work for is not the development of the will, but the education of the imagination and the steadying of attention.
Prayer succeeds by avoiding conflict.
Prayer is, above all things, easy.
Its greatest enemy is effort.
The mighty surrenders itself fully only to that which is most gentle.
The wealth of Heaven may not be seized by a strong will, but surrenders itself, a free gift, to the Godspent moment.
Along the lines of least resistance travel spiritual as well as physical forces. "

Feeling Is The Secret - Neville Goddard

As I said in the previous post, I have been studying a lot of Neville Goddard's work.
And as I have stated before, these techniques can be used not only for creating wealth and manifesting abundance, but for just about everything else.
Out of all of the techniques I have used Neville's techniques seem to work the best for me.
His "law of assumption" seems to have a better track record with me than the law of attraction does.

A long time ago when I started to study all of this, a friend of mine sent me a bunch of Neville's teachings in an e-mail, and at the time I couldn't find them anywhere else.
But since then I have run across many (if not all) of these at http://www.nevillelecturehall.com/
If you go there, you read Neville's teachings in full, and get some insight on how to employ them in your life.

The post for today is from a talk Neville did on Station KECA in Los Angeles back in July of 1951.

Meditation prayer, visualization techniques, abundance manifestation, manifest money

Feeling Is The Secret

Recently, I asked a very successful businessman his formula for success.
He laughed and was a little embarrassed.
Then he replied, "I guess it’s just because I can’t conceive of failure. It’s nothing that I think about much. It’s more a feeling that I have."
His statement coincided completely with my own beliefs and experiments.
We can think about something forever and never see it in our world, but once let us feel its reality, and we are bound to encounter it.
The more intensely we feel, the sooner we will encounter it.
We all regard feelings far too much as effects, and not sufficiently as causes of the events of the day.
Feeling is not only the result of our conditions of life, it is also the creator of those conditions.
We say we are happy because we are well, not realizing that the process will work equally well in the reverse direction.
We are well because we are happy. We are all far too undisciplined in our feelings.

To be joyful for another is to bless ourselves as well as him.
To be angry with another is to punish ourselves for his fault.
The distressed mind stays at home though the body travels to the ends of the earth, while the happy mind travels though the body remains at home.
Feeling is the secret of successful prayer, for in prayer, we feel ourselves into the situation of the answered prayer and, then, we live and act upon that conviction.
Feeling after Him, as the Bible suggests, is a gradual unfolding of the soul’s hidden capacities.
Feeling yields in importance to no other.
It is the ferment without which no creation is possible.
All forms of creative imagination imply elements of feeling.
All emotional dispositions whatever may influence the creative imagination.
Feeling after Him has no finality.
It is an acquisition, increasing in proportion to receptivity, which has not and never will have finality.
An idea which is only an idea produces nothing and does nothing.
It acts only if it is felt, if it is accompanied by effective feeling.
Somewhere within the soul there is a mood which, if found, means wealth, health, happiness to us.
The creative desire is innate in man.
His whole happiness is involved in this impulse to create.
Because men do not perfectly "feel," the results of their prayers are unsure, when they might be perfectly sure.
We read in Proverbs, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth the bones."
Orchestral hearts burn in the oil of the lamp of the king.
The spirit sings unto the Lord a new song.
All true prayer wears a glad countenance; the good are anointed with the oil of gladness above their fellows.
Let us, then, watch our feelings, our reactions to the day’s events.
And let us guard our feelings even more zealously in the act of prayer, for prayer is the true creative state.
Dignity indicates that man hears the greater music of life, and moves to the tempo of its deeper meaning.
If we did nothing but imagine and feel the lovely, the world’s reform would, at once, be accomplished.
Many of the stories of the Bible deal exclusively with the power of imagination and feeling.

"Feeling after Him" is the cry of the truth seeker.
Only imagination and feeling can restore the Eden from which experience has driven us.
Feeling and imagination are the senses by which we perceive the beyond.
Where knowledge ends, they begin.
Every noble feeling of man is the opening for him of some door to the divine world.
Let us measure men, not by the height of their cities, but by the magnificence of their imaginations and feelings.
Let us turn our thought up to Heaven and mix our imagination with the angels.
The world that moves us is the one we imagine, not the world that surrounds us.
In the imagination lie the unexplored continents, and man’s great future adventure.
This consciousness of nonfinality in "feeling after God" has been the experience of all earnest Godward feelers.
They realize that their conception of the Infinite has constantly deepened and expanded with experience.
Those who endeavor to think out the meaning of the experience and to coordinate it with the rest of our knowledge, are the philosophic mystics; those who try to develop the faculty in themselves, and to deepen the experience are the practical or experimental mystics.
Some, and among them the greatest, have tried to do both.
Religion begins in subjective experience.
Religion is what a man does with his solitude, for in solitude we are compelled to subjective experience.
A True Religious Attitude is man’s salvation.
God never changes; it is we who are changing; our spiritual eyes are ever getting keener; and this enlargement of truth will bring us an ever increasing inner peace.
The best defense against the deceptive assault upon our mental and moral eyesight is the spiritual eye or the Eye of God.
In other words, a spiritual ideal that cannot be changed by circumstance, a code of personal honor and integrity in ourselves and good will and love to others.
"Not what thou art, nor what thou hast been, beholdeth God with his merciful eyes, but that thou wouldst be."
Through the veins of the humblest man on earth runs the royal blood of being.
Therefore, let us look at man through the eyes of imaginative love which is really seeing with the Eye of God.
Under the influence of the Eye of God, the ideal rises up out of the actual as water is etherialized by the sun into the imagery cloudland.
Things altogether distant are present to the spiritual eye.
The Eye of God makes the future dream a present fact.
Not four months to harvest – look again, If we persist in this seeing, one day we will arise with the distance in our eyes, and all the staying, stagnant nearby will suddenly be of no importance.
We will brush it aside as we pass on to our farseen objective.
The man who really finds himself cannot do otherwise than let himself be guided by love.
He is of too pure eyes to behold iniquity.
Our ability to help others will be in proportion to our ability to control and help ourselves.
The day a man achieves victory over himself, history will discover that to have been a victory over his enemy.
The healing touch is in an attitude, and one day man will discover that one governs souls only with serenity.
The mighty surrenders itself fully only to the most gentle.
Recognizing the power of feeling, let us pay strict attention to our moods and attitudes.
Every stage of man’s progress is made through the exercise of his imagination and feeling.
By creating an "ideal" within our mental sphere we can feel ourselves into this "ideal image" till we become one and the same with it, absorbing its qualities into the very core of our being.
The solitary or captive can, by the intensity of his imagination and feeling, effect myriads so that he can act through many men and speak through many voices.
Extend your feelers, trust your touch, participate in all flights of your imaginations and be not afraid of your own sensitivities.

The best way to feel another’s good is to be more intensely aware of it.
Be like my friend and have "more of a feeling" for the health, the wealth, the happiness you desire.
Ideas do not bless unless they descend from Heaven and take flesh.
Make results or accomplishments the crucial test of true imagination.
As you observe these results, you will determine to fill your images with love and to walk in a high and noble mood for you will know with the poet: "That which ye sow ye reap. See yonder fields The sesamum was sesamum, the corn was corn. The Silence and the Darkness knew So is man’s fate born."

Awaken Your Inner Power Results - Part Three

Well now I am getting the most unusual manifesting abundance result I have seen.
Pennies.
Everywhere I go, there seem to be pennies laying at my feet.
Sometimes two or three at a time, but almost every time I go out, I find pennies laying on the ground/floor.

So is this the beginning of attraction?
Is it pennies because my prosperity mind-set hasn't gotten high enough yet?
Is this a sign that I am on the right path?

By the way, since this is Christmas time, when I find a lot of pennies in one store, I have been donating them to the Salvation Army bell ringers outside of the store when I come out.
I am keeping track of my running totals though for the three per cent donation.

In addition to the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra, I have added a Neville Goddard technique of counting money.
Visualizing that I am counting out a stack of one hundred dollars bills.
You can do it with any denomination, just close your eyes, count out the money and imagine you are counting out any amount you wish.
You can even cut pieces of paper to the size of currency and count them out, imaging that it is real money.
Just believe that it is the amount you want.
Of course this helps with thinking from the end, because you are telling yourself that you already have the money.

"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Mark 11:24

Of course back then it was easier to "believe that ye receive them" because you didn't have everyone and everything telling you that you haven't received them.
I think that is why we have to condition our minds so much now, to fight the constant bombardment of negative input we get everyday.

When you watch the news, read the paper etc, all you see and hear is "The economy is bad, we are all doomed".
If you go back to Neville's early teaching (and many of the other New Thought teachers) , that was the same mindset people had when he was lecturing.
So his techniques are designed to operate under these circumstances.
Because...

"That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun."
Ecclesiastes 1:9

Neville Goddard Backed Up By Science?

I was looking at the article about Creating God in one's own image over at Science Blogs.com
And a thought occurred to me.
Actually it occurred to me when I read this....

"The brain scans found the same thing, particularly in a region called the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) that's been linked to self-referential thinking. The mPFC is more active when we think about our own mindsets than those of others. Epley found that it was similarly abuzz when the recruits thought about their own attitude or God's, but lower when they considered the average American. The three images below show the differences in brain activity between the three tasks and you can see that the 'God' and 'self' scans had little to distinguish them.
The results suggest that similar parts of the brain are involved when we consider our own beliefs and those of God - Epley thinks this is why we end up inferring a deity's attitudes based on those we hold ourselves."

Now instead of igniting a whole firestorm of religious belief questioning (like the article seems to have done on some forums) it made me think....
Is this not scientific back up for what Neville Goddard taught?

That God is within us and acts through our human imagination?

"you can see that the 'God' and 'self' scans had little to distinguish them."

So if the scans find little difference between God and self.....
Well, I think if you read Neville, or have studied him much, that sentence does nothing to shake your belief in God.

Awaken Your Inner Power Results - Part Two

I have been doing the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra for manifesting abundance now for around two months.
So far I have gotten sixty one dollars and three cents out of the blue.

So now, next month I actually CAN donate that three percent to his foundation.

Again though I have to point out, that I haven't received the hundreds or thousands that I have seen claimed.
BUT, some money has come in, unasked for.
And again, I like the way Dattatreya set this up.
You don't send in any money unless it works.
Compare that to the manifesting prosperity teachers that say "Give me $199.99 (or more), and I'll show you how to manifest money".

I'm afraid that the manifesting wealth circles have turned into the feeding grounds for con men.
Like I have said many times before, if I ran across a sure fire method for attracting abundance, I'd let everyone know...for free.
Because if I am manifesting abundance for myself easily, why ask you for money?

"Hey I can manifest a car or a house easily! Send me the money that you don't have, and I'll teach you to do it too!"
The law of attraction states that like attracts like... right?
Then if I help other people, the universe will help me...correct?

Why does Samuel L Jackson's speech from Pulp Fiction keep popping into my head as I write this?
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Yeah I know it's not really in the Bible like that, but I keep hearing that when I think about some of the "teachers" out there.

Wow...I must really sound like the most cynical "positive thinking" person in the world huh?

I guess it's because I have been reading a lot of Neville Goddard lately, and although Neville is definitely not a "wrath of God" kinda guy, he does talk a lot about bearing your brother's burdens.
When someone is in trouble, you don't ask him (or her) for money, you help them.
Neville's way was to picture that person as gainfully employed, healthy, happy, whatever they needed.
To me, that is shepherding the weak.

The Ara Kara Mantra Revisited

The most popular subject on this blog by far is "Ara Kara".
Now this leads me to wonder.....
Is it because so many people want to learn about it?
Or is it because so many people have had success with it?

The Ara Kara Mantra

Now you know in my limited time working with the chant, I really didn't have much success.
But you also may recall that I saw on one of Dattatreya Siva Baba's YouTube videos that I was doing it wrong.
Well I was doing it Wayne Dyer's way, and since Dattatreya taught Wayne Dyer, I figured I was doing it right.
Of course he taught Wayne the "Ahh meditation" not Ara Kara I suppose.

Anyway, here you can see Dattatreya himself demonstrating the mantra.....

Now, has anyone out there had any success with the Ara Kara mantra?

That Which I Have Greatly Loved Has Come Upon Me

I have been a little quiet as of late.
But I had a reason.

As some of you know, I had c*ncer (I wont even grace the word by spelling it out anymore) back in 2007.
I had surgery, 12 weeks of chemo and was pronounced clean.
But I have to go back to the Dr every few months for blood tests to make sure there is no reoccurrence.
Well the last test showed a slight rise in my tumor count.
They scheduled me for a CT scan last Friday and I have been waiting for the test results since then.

I know what fear is.
I have looked it straight in the face.
I fight fear constantly.
Everyone that has been through c*ncer does I guess.
But you add my OCD, Anxiety Disorder and panic attacks to it, and you have a potent cocktail for trouble.

Well I fought for 5 days and finally last night I almost gave up knowing I would hear the results today.
I e-mailed Rev. Bates who has an excellent website with a lot of Joseph Murphy on it.
The Rev e-mailed me back and said
" If you are knowledgeable of the Bible you will recall that Job said, "that which I have greatly feared has come upon me." Just imagine what a difference his life would have been had he said, "that which I have greatly loved has come upon me." I know and I know that I know, that God indwells you ... for God is Life, and you are part of this Life."

"That which I have greatly loved has come upon me".
How powerful is that?
Not fear, not doubt, but love.
I am saying that what I love is here now upon me.

I repeated that phrase over and over and latched onto the feeling that I had before when the Dr said I was clean.
I thanked God over and over for me getting a clean scan again.

This morning the phone rang and my Dr said " The CT scan was clear. No c*ncer at all."

I thought I had thanked God a lot last night, but it's nothing compared to the joy and freedom I have felt today.
Remember the old "No Fear" T-Shirts?
I think that's a good motto.

"NO FEAR"

The Healing Presence of God is Within You -Dr. Joseph Murphy

Again, this is just one of those things I felt moved to post.
Maybe someone out there needs to hear it.

The Healing Presence of God is Within You -Dr. Joseph Murphy

The healing presence of God is within you.
This miraculous healing power in your subconscious mind, if scientifically directed, can heal your mind, body, and affairs of all disease and impediments.
The first step in healing is not to be afraid of the manifest condition — from this very moment.
The second step is to realize that the condition is only the product of past thinking, which will have no more power to continue its existence.
The third step is mentally to exalt the miraculous healing power of God within you.
This procedure instantly will stop the production of all mental poisons in you or in the person for whom you are praying.
Live in the embodiment of your desire, and your thought and feeling will soon be made manifest.
Do not allow yourself to be swayed by human opinion and worldly fears, but live emotionally in the belief that it is God in action in your mind and body.

Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction, Part 2

Okay, here's this week's update on my Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction experiment.
Really I suppose this should be Joseph Murphy AND Neville Goddard since the two seem to overlap so much.
Anyway, I got a check in the mail from out of the blue for 100 dollars.
Yes out of the blue.
I had no idea it was coming.
Right now I am working on a BIG project that I hopefully will hear something about on Monday.
Three days.
Where have I heard that before?
BTW, if anyone wants to lend their positive energy to mine, feel free.

And speaking of that, when I finally get everything to gel here and get a good working system, I am thinking about maybe actually taking requests here and doing a "Bearing Your Brother's Burden" thing.
What's the point in creating reality if you can't help others?
And as you know, when I do get that system down, I will post in painful detail (LOL) just what I am doing to see if others can replicate the results.

So, in keeping with Dr Murphy and Neville's spirit, I will have good news Monday to report.
Actually I guess it should be I have good news now, right?

Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction, Part 1

Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction, Part 1

I told you that I was going to start Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction and I have.
But the techniques he lays down for manifesting and the ones Neville Goddard uses are very similar.
Probably because they both studied under Abdullah.
I wonder why he never wrote anything?
Did he leave it to his students?

Anyway, one line kept popping up in my head that I had read in "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind".
And that is in chapter 6, " Practical Techniques in Mental Healings".
At the end of the chapter he talks about "The Decree Method".
And there he quotes the Bible, Job 22:28:
"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways."

I kept thinking about that and sure enough, in "Your Faith Is Your Fortune" by Neville Goddard, Chapter 2 is called " You Shall Decree"
Here Neville quotes Isaiah 55:11 in the opening....
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

So what about instead of mentally decreeing something, you actually say it out loud?
Take a few minutes a day and consciously say what you decree out loud?

Of course I am no expert.
And I won't start telling people how to do something until something works and I can replicate it.
And someone else I tell can replicate it.
So the Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction experiment continues until I see some results.
Or three weeks pass, whichever comes first.

EFT and the Law of Attraction, Final Report

Okay, I started the EFT and the Law of Attraction experiment on July 22, 2009.
It's August 12th right now so I have been tapping for 22 days.
Results?
None.
Nope, not a thing happened.
I tried it for 3 weeks and I can see no change in "my reality" at all.
Should you try it?
Sure, just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it wont work for you.
All I can do is tell you my experience with it.
(And to all you people out there saying "Sabre? What did you expect? You were just tapping on your head!" I say "Pfffft!" LOL)

So whats up next?
Well I plan to try the Joseph Murphy techniques.
I guess the next entry will be Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction.
I'll use the methods he describes and see what changes in my reality happen.

BTW, the EFT did seem to relax me.
So I have to go on the record saying it is good for that.
And if anyone has tried it and gotten different results, please let us know.
But please say exactly what you did so I can compare what you did to what I did and see if I can come up with a reason one technique works and another doesnt.

EFT and the Law of Attraction Report 3

Okay, it's been 14 days now of me doing the EFT and the Law of Attraction experiment.

Has anything amazing happened?
Nope.
True I had that one instance, but really that could be chalked up to coincidence.
No 18,000 dollars showing up out of nowhere.
So now do I keep tapping?
Well it has only been two weeks.
I think I'll go another week, give it a month and see what happens.

Now really, doing the tapping does seem to relax me more, so I can recommend EFT for relaxation.
But as far as the Law of Attraction, I haven't seen anything yet to substantiate that.
Of course everyone is different and what works for you may not work for me.
So I can only tell you what my personal experience is.
I do really hope this works.
I'd love to find a system I can recommend to everyone.
I would dearly LOVE to post here one day and say "This is amazing! You have to do it!"
But until that day, I'll keep working these things out.

EFT and the Law of Attraction Report 2

Okay, I know I did a kinda gloomy entry yesterday on EFT and the Law of Attraction experiment.
BUT.....
(There's always a but right?)
Today something happened out of the blue.
If was really an inspiration, money didn't just plop down outta the sky.
I was in the right place at the right time and now I'm gonna wind up getting paid $35 dollars for 20 minutes work Friday.
Get your mind outta the gutter...it's for a survey, (not online, at a local place here.)
But anyway, again it was being in a place I don't normally go, and it was a fleeting thought I followed up on.
True it's not a check for over $18,000.00, like in the example I read, but it is a start.
So I'm gonna keep tapping and see where it leads me.
Don't worry, should this turn into a Bonanza, I will post every detail of what I am doing.
So I guess the bottom line here is "EFT and the Law of Attraction Experiment Day 6, profits up".

EFT and the Law of Attraction Report 1

As you read in my last entry I'm doing an experiment with the law of attraction and EFT.

So this is my first report.

Nothing has happened.
Nope, not a thing.
I'm not being disbelieving or skeptical or anything, just reporting on what's going on.
So far, nothing.
True it has only been five days, not even a week yet.
So I'm going to keep doing it.
One thing it does seem to do is help set the affirmation you use into your head.
I've caught myself thinking about it out of the blue.
But if the affirmation isn't doing any good...whats the point?

Don't take this wrong, but I like a dose of reality with my LOA.
It's back to the piano thing I mentioned before.
If tapping works great.
If it doesn't, I'm not gonna sit around tapping myself on the head for a year.

Anyway, like I said, I'm gonna keep doing the EFT and see if it really does help with the law of attraction.

Dr. Joseph Murphy's The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind

Well I'm back.
I was offline for about a month and now I'm busy trying to get caught up on everything.

One of the things I did while I was offline was read Dr. Joseph Murphy's "The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind".
You may know already if you are a regular reader of this blog that Dr. Murphy studied under Abdullah, the same man that taught Neville Goddard.

Neville's approach and Murphy's approach are a little different though.
To put it simply, Neville to me is more metaphysical and Murphy is more scientific.

One major point of difference to me in reading the book is that Murphy does not advocate the "I AM" principle.
At one point, Murphy even says not everyone should say "I am wealthy" if you are not, because your subconscious knows you are lying to it.
He advocates just saying "Wealth" over and over because it is not a statement, but an idea.
I wonder if Murphy and Neville ever had any discussions on this topic?
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall there.

Murphy also seems to advocate looking at various manifesting techniques to see which one works best for you.
And as with Neville, there are a lot of Bible quotes through out the book.

And I found something very important to me on page 107, "The Law of Reverse Effort".
It's how when we put too much effort into manifesting, we begin to try to use willpower instead of imagining.
" Use no willpower. Instead, visualize the end and the state of freedom it produces."

Of course this goes back to thinking from the end.
See the result, not how you got there.

Despite the differences, if you have read a lot of Neville and a lot of Murphy, you will begin to see the similarities between the two more than the differences.
I think the two compliment each other.
And with over a million copies in print, someone must agree with me.

I have read that some think Murphy was ripping off the Master Key System with his work.
But I still think there is nothing new under the sun, and everyone's techniques will have similarites with another.

Supreme Mastery of Fear by Joseph Murphy

Supreme Mastery of Fear by Joseph Murphy

From: Supreme Mastery of Fear by Joseph Murphy....

Who is your Lord and master this very moment?

Your Lord is your predominant, mental attitude; it is your conviction or belief about yourself, people, and things; this Lord can be a tyrant. For example, if your mood is now one of resentment, that is your Lord or tyrant that governs all of your actions and all phases of your life. If you want to invest some money, buy a new home, or some property, while in this attitude, you will do the wrong thing and say the wrong thing, because your predominant mood is negative. The law is: "As within, so without." You are fearing your good, and you would react negatively. Fear is a lack of faith or trust in God, which is a denial of His Omnipotence.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation." The Lord" referred to is the Lord God, or the law of God or good. To put the law of good into operation, -thereby banishing fear once and for all, -enthrone in your mind the thoughts of power, courage, and confidence. These thoughts will generate a corresponding mood or feeling, which will banish the arch enemy of your success and health.

Manifesting Results

I know I have posted a link to this somewhere before, but it's been the number one result on a Google search for manifesting reality for a long, long time.
So evidently it's worth a read huh?
The article is by an Israeli trainer, lecturer and coach, Vered (Tanmayo) Neta.

I've experimented with conscious manifesting techniques for 13 years now. For 5 years I have taught others the tools that I myself have learned in a course called 'Manifesting Results'. Some people come to the course with a preconception that I'm going to teach them how to manifest. The bad news is that I'm not going to do that. The good news is that you already DO manifest everything in your life. You always have.
Since we all already create our own realities, what we do in the course is slow down the creative process and learn how this is done, in order to understand the principals behind and in so doing adjust things and create something different.
We create our reality from our Thoughts, Feelings, Choices and Beliefs. Lets explore each of these:

New Age Quotes

Fear arises through identification with form, whether it be a material possession, a physical body, a social role, a self-image, a thought, or an emotion. It arises through unawareness of the formless inner dimension of consciousness or spirit, which is the essence of who you are. You are trapped in object consciousness, unaware of the dimension of inner space which alone is true freedom. - Eckhart Tolle

The secret of attraction is to love yourself. Attractive people judge neither themselves nor others. They are open to gestures of love. They think about love, and express their love in every action. They know that love is not a mere sentiment, but the ultimate truth at the heart of the universe. - Deepak Chopra

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice. - Wayne Dyer

A man has to learn that he cannot command things, but that he can command himself; that he cannot coerce the wills of others, but that he can mold and master his own will: and things serve him who serves Truth; people seek guidance of him who is master of himself. - James Allen

Every thought we think is creating our future. - Louise L Hayes

I am a Westerner. We're not going to change the West by going East. The East has a lot to teach us, but essentially it's like a mirror, saying, hey, can't you see what's here in your own religion, what are you, stupid? - Matthew Fox

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. - Marianne Williamson

The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. They perform their cycles with the same mathematical precision, and they will continue to affect each thing on earth, including man, as long as the earth exists. - Linda Goodman

When you talk about what you want and why you want it, there's usually less resistance within you than when you talk about what you want and how you're going to get it. When you pose questions you don't have answers for, like how, where, when, who, it sets up a contradictory vibration that slows everything down. - Esther Hicks
