Facts Overflow The World was a lecture given by Neville Goddard on November 19th, 1971.
Pretty interesting lecture that for one thing, goes into what the story of Noah's ark really represented.
If you have never heard Neville I wouldn't recommend starting out with this one though.
A little background on what he taught is necessary I think to really get this one.
Affirmations, Spirit and Energy, Chant Meditation OM, Manifesting Success, Manifesting Abundance
I have mentioned 100kwatt's YouTube channel and how he has a lot of Neville lectures posted there that you can listen to.I have been listening a lot to one lecture in particular, "Rearrange The Mind".
Of course you need to listen to the whole lecture, but the last part (part 5 of 5) seems to me to crystallize everything he says in the lecture.
Especially starting at about the 6:00 minute mark...
"Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong."
Joel 3:10 (KJV)
This goes back to Neville saying that you should imagine what you want to be, not what you are.
Even if it flies in the face of all logic, if you are weak, say you are strong, if you are poor, say you are rich.
You can be satisfied with where you are, or you can change where you are.
I'm not advocating just thinking and doing nothing.
Or as another famous man said:
"To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?"
As Neville said, go about your business and do your Father's work.
We live in the land of Caesar and Caesar's requirements must be met.
But the first step to change is to mentally changing where you are.
Change your "State".
All the physical change in the world wont do you any good unless you first change your mind.
Change "I am sick, I'll never get better because I am sick" to "I am healthy."
Change "I am poor, things will never get better." to "I am rich."
Assume that you are what you want to be right now and go from there.
You can be sick, and if you do not change your mind set, you can take all the drugs, treatments in the world and you will stay sick, or relapse into the sickness.
You can be poor and get the best job in the world, the best education, and if you don't change your state, you will be right back where you started from in no time.
And the cool thing about this is that you can mentally change right now as you are reading this.
You don't have to wait, or take a seminar or read a series of books.
Just close your eyes, and imagine what it would feel like to be free of your burdens.
Hold onto that.
Just feel the relief, the peace, the joy.
Then every time fear and doubt come back into your mind, do it again.
When you doubt, you return to your former state, so you have to get back out of that state and back into the state that you want to be in.
It probably wont be easy.
It isn't easy for me.
I have so many things staring me down right now it's not even funny.
But I close my eyes, take a deep breath, exhale and imagine it's all taken care of.
I am where I want to be, who I want to be.
Then I continue on "doing my Father's work".
Well now I am getting the most unusual manifesting abundance result I have seen. Pennies. Everywhere I go, there seem to be pennies laying at my feet. Sometimes two or three at a time, but almost every time I go out, I find pennies laying on the ground/floor.
So is this the beginning of attraction? Is it pennies because my prosperity mind-set hasn't gotten high enough yet? Is this a sign that I am on the right path?
By the way, since this is Christmas time, when I find a lot of pennies in one store, I have been donating them to the Salvation Army bell ringers outside of the store when I come out. I am keeping track of my running totals though for the three per cent donation.
In addition to the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra, I have added a Neville Goddard technique of counting money. Visualizing that I am counting out a stack of one hundred dollars bills. You can do it with any denomination, just close your eyes, count out the money and imagine you are counting out any amount you wish. You can even cut pieces of paper to the size of currency and count them out, imaging that it is real money. Just believe that it is the amount you want. Of course this helps with thinking from the end, because you are telling yourself that you already have the money.
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24
Of course back then it was easier to "believe that ye receive them" because you didn't have everyone and everything telling you that you haven't received them. I think that is why we have to condition our minds so much now, to fight the constant bombardment of negative input we get everyday.
When you watch the news, read the paper etc, all you see and hear is "The economy is bad, we are all doomed". If you go back to Neville's early teaching (and many of the other New Thought teachers) , that was the same mindset people had when he was lecturing. So his techniques are designed to operate under these circumstances. Because...
"That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1:9
I was looking at the article about Creating God in one's own image over at Science Blogs.com
And a thought occurred to me.
Actually it occurred to me when I read this....
"The brain scans found the same thing, particularly in a region called the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) that's been linked to self-referential thinking. The mPFC is more active when we think about our own mindsets than those of others. Epley found that it was similarly abuzz when the recruits thought about their own attitude or God's, but lower when they considered the average American. The three images below show the differences in brain activity between the three tasks and you can see that the 'God' and 'self' scans had little to distinguish them. The results suggest that similar parts of the brain are involved when we consider our own beliefs and those of God - Epley thinks this is why we end up inferring a deity's attitudes based on those we hold ourselves."
Now instead of igniting a whole firestorm of religious belief questioning (like the article seems to have done on some forums) it made me think....
Is this not scientific back up for what Neville Goddard taught?
That God is within us and acts through our human imagination?
"you can see that the 'God' and 'self' scans had little to distinguish them."
So if the scans find little difference between God and self.....
Well, I think if you read Neville, or have studied him much, that sentence does nothing to shake your belief in God.
I have been doing the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra for manifesting abundance now for around two months. So far I have gotten sixty one dollars and three cents out of the blue.
So now, next month I actually CAN donate that three percent to his foundation.
Again though I have to point out, that I haven't received the hundreds or thousands that I have seen claimed. BUT, some money has come in, unasked for. And again, I like the way Dattatreya set this up. You don't send in any money unless it works. Compare that to the manifesting prosperity teachers that say "Give me $199.99 (or more), and I'll show you how to manifest money".
I'm afraid that the manifesting wealth circles have turned into the feeding grounds for con men. Like I have said many times before, if I ran across a sure fire method for attracting abundance, I'd let everyone know...for free. Because if I am manifesting abundance for myself easily, why ask you for money?
"Hey I can manifest a car or a house easily! Send me the money that you don't have, and I'll teach you to do it too!" The law of attraction states that like attracts like... right? Then if I help other people, the universe will help me...correct?
Why does Samuel L Jackson's speech from Pulp Fiction keep popping into my head as I write this? "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
Yeah I know it's not really in the Bible like that, but I keep hearing that when I think about some of the "teachers" out there.
Wow...I must really sound like the most cynical "positive thinking" person in the world huh?
I guess it's because I have been reading a lot of Neville Goddard lately, and although Neville is definitely not a "wrath of God" kinda guy, he does talk a lot about bearing your brother's burdens. When someone is in trouble, you don't ask him (or her) for money, you help them. Neville's way was to picture that person as gainfully employed, healthy, happy, whatever they needed. To me, that is shepherding the weak.
I have been a little quiet as of late.
But I had a reason.
As some of you know, I had c*ncer (I wont even grace the word by spelling it out anymore) back in 2007.
I had surgery, 12 weeks of chemo and was pronounced clean.
But I have to go back to the Dr every few months for blood tests to make sure there is no reoccurrence.
Well the last test showed a slight rise in my tumor count.
They scheduled me for a CT scan last Friday and I have been waiting for the test results since then.
I know what fear is.
I have looked it straight in the face.
I fight fear constantly.
Everyone that has been through c*ncer does I guess.
But you add my OCD, Anxiety Disorder and panic attacks to it, and you have a potent cocktail for trouble.
Well I fought for 5 days and finally last night I almost gave up knowing I would hear the results today.
I e-mailed Rev. Bates who has an excellent website with a lot of Joseph Murphy on it.
The Rev e-mailed me back and said " If you are knowledgeable of the Bible you will recall that Job said, "that which I have greatly feared has come upon me." Just imagine what a difference his life would have been had he said, "that which I have greatly loved has come upon me." I know and I know that I know, that God indwells you ... for God is Life, and you are part of this Life."
"That which I have greatly loved has come upon me".
How powerful is that?
Not fear, not doubt, but love.
I am saying that what I love is here now upon me.
I repeated that phrase over and over and latched onto the feeling that I had before when the Dr said I was clean.
I thanked God over and over for me getting a clean scan again.
This morning the phone rang and my Dr said " The CT scan was clear. No c*ncer at all."
I thought I had thanked God a lot last night, but it's nothing compared to the joy and freedom I have felt today.
Remember the old "No Fear" T-Shirts?
I think that's a good motto.
Again, this is just one of those things I felt moved to post.
Maybe someone out there needs to hear it.
The healing presence of God is within you. This miraculous healing power in your subconscious mind, if scientifically directed, can heal your mind, body, and affairs of all disease and impediments. The first step in healing is not to be afraid of the manifest condition — from this very moment. The second step is to realize that the condition is only the product of past thinking, which will have no more power to continue its existence. The third step is mentally to exalt the miraculous healing power of God within you. This procedure instantly will stop the production of all mental poisons in you or in the person for whom you are praying. Live in the embodiment of your desire, and your thought and feeling will soon be made manifest. Do not allow yourself to be swayed by human opinion and worldly fears, but live emotionally in the belief that it is God in action in your mind and body.
Okay, here's this week's update on my Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction experiment. Really I suppose this should be Joseph Murphy AND Neville Goddard since the two seem to overlap so much. Anyway, I got a check in the mail from out of the blue for 100 dollars. Yes out of the blue. I had no idea it was coming. Right now I am working on a BIG project that I hopefully will hear something about on Monday. Three days. Where have I heard that before? BTW, if anyone wants to lend their positive energy to mine, feel free.
And speaking of that, when I finally get everything to gel here and get a good working system, I am thinking about maybe actually taking requests here and doing a "Bearing Your Brother's Burden" thing. What's the point in creating reality if you can't help others? And as you know, when I do get that system down, I will post in painful detail (LOL) just what I am doing to see if others can replicate the results.
So, in keeping with Dr Murphy and Neville's spirit, I will have good news Monday to report. Actually I guess it should be I have good news now, right?
I told you that I was going to start Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction and I have.
But the techniques he lays down for manifesting and the ones Neville Goddard uses are very similar.
Probably because they both studied under Abdullah.
I wonder why he never wrote anything?
Did he leave it to his students?
Anyway, one line kept popping up in my head that I had read in "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind".
And that is in chapter 6, " Practical Techniques in Mental Healings".
At the end of the chapter he talks about "The Decree Method".
And there he quotes the Bible, Job 22:28: "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways."
I kept thinking about that and sure enough, in "Your Faith Is Your Fortune" by Neville Goddard, Chapter 2 is called " You Shall Decree"
Here Neville quotes Isaiah 55:11 in the opening.... "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
So what about instead of mentally decreeing something, you actually say it out loud?
Take a few minutes a day and consciously say what you decree out loud?
Of course I am no expert.
And I won't start telling people how to do something until something works and I can replicate it.
And someone else I tell can replicate it.
So the Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction experiment continues until I see some results.
Or three weeks pass, whichever comes first.
Here's another bit from "The Magic of Faith" by Dr. Joseph Murphy, 1954.
"I told a man in one of the islands one time "to sleep" on the idea of success. He was selling magazine subscriptions. He became a great success by following this procedure: I suggested that he think of success prior to sleep; i.e., what success meant to him; what he would do if he were successful. I told him to use his imagination; then as he was about to go to sleep, fall in love with the idea of success this way: Repeat the one word, "Success," over and over again. He should get into the mood of success; then fall off to sleep in the arms of his Everlasting Lover. Your Lover—your Divine Presence—will bring to pass whatever you accept as true. The conditions, experiences, and events of your life are called children of your mind."
Here again we have the "sleep manifesting" that Neville Goddard speaks about.
Quite the mind before sleep.
Fill your mind with the idea of what you want.
Really feel it.
Then drift off to sleep with the idea in your mind.
Sounds simple right?
WRONG!
LOL...no really, it can be very hard for some people.
You have to get the idea in your mind and get rid of other thoughts.
Example:
"I have to pay the house payment on Friday, it's Monday and I have no money."
Now you are supposed to quiet any anxious, fearful thoughts and focus on the payment already being made.
While you are trying to focus on the positive outcome, being homeless, in the streets etc., keeps coming into your mind.
Gently push the thought away and go back to positive.
Don't rail against it.
Just push it away and go back to your end result.
KEEP DOING IT!
Don't give in or give up.
In this case you are a warrior and you cannot take no as an answer, or surrender.
And guess who and what you are fighting?
Yourself.
Yes, to do this you must gain mastery over YOU, no one else.
If anyone out there remembers Pogo, think about what he once said.... "We have met the enemy and he is us."
Focus on that one word, be it success, or health or love or peace.
Well I'm back. I was offline for about a month and now I'm busy trying to get caught up on everything.
One of the things I did while I was offline was read Dr. Joseph Murphy's "The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind". You may know already if you are a regular reader of this blog that Dr. Murphy studied under Abdullah, the same man that taught Neville Goddard.
Neville's approach and Murphy's approach are a little different though. To put it simply, Neville to me is more metaphysical and Murphy is more scientific.
One major point of difference to me in reading the book is that Murphy does not advocate the "I AM" principle. At one point, Murphy even says not everyone should say "I am wealthy" if you are not, because your subconscious knows you are lying to it. He advocates just saying "Wealth" over and over because it is not a statement, but an idea. I wonder if Murphy and Neville ever had any discussions on this topic? I would have loved to be a fly on the wall there.
Murphy also seems to advocate looking at various manifesting techniques to see which one works best for you. And as with Neville, there are a lot of Bible quotes through out the book.
And I found something very important to me on page 107, "The Law of Reverse Effort". It's how when we put too much effort into manifesting, we begin to try to use willpower instead of imagining. " Use no willpower. Instead, visualize the end and the state of freedom it produces."
Of course this goes back to thinking from the end. See the result, not how you got there.
Despite the differences, if you have read a lot of Neville and a lot of Murphy, you will begin to see the similarities between the two more than the differences. I think the two compliment each other. And with over a million copies in print, someone must agree with me.
I have read that some think Murphy was ripping off the Master Key System with his work. But I still think there is nothing new under the sun, and everyone's techniques will have similarites with another.
When you go to sleep tonight, forgive everyone. And imagine and feel your desire is fulfilled. Become absolutely and completely indifferent to all thought of failure, because you now know the law. As you accept the end, you have, as Troward so beautifully stated, willed the means to the realization of the end. As you are about to enter sleep, galvanize yourself into the feeling of being or having your desire. Your mental acceptance or your feeling as you go to sleep is the request you make of your Beloved; then She looks at your request (conviction in the subconscious mind), and being the Absolute Lover, she must give you what you asked.
"You feed among the lilies until the day breaks and the shadows flee away." The shadows are fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, and all the reasons why you cannot do something. The shadows of our five senses and race belief hover over the minds of all as we pray.
When you pray, accept as true what your reason and five senses deny and reject. Remain faithful to your idea by being full of faith every step of the way. When your consciousness is fully qualified with the acceptance of your desire, all the fear will go away. Trust in the reality of your ideal or desire until you are filled full of the feeling of being it; then the day will break and all shadows will flee away. Yes, the answer to your prayer will come, and light up the heavens of your mind bringing you peace.
No matter what the problem is, how acute, dark, or hopeless things seem to be, turn now to God, and say, "How is it in God and Heaven?" The answer will softly steal over your mind like the dew from heaven: "All is peace, joy, bliss, perfection, wholeness, harmony, and beauty"; then reject the evidence of your senses, and feed among the lilies of God and Heaven, such as peace, harmony, joy, and perfection. Realize what is true of God must be true of you and your surroundings. Continue in this abiding trust and faith in God "until the day breaks and the shadows flee away."
From: Supreme Mastery of Fear by Joseph Murphy....
Who is your Lord and master this very moment?
Your Lord is your predominant, mental attitude; it is your conviction or belief about yourself, people, and things; this Lord can be a tyrant. For example, if your mood is now one of resentment, that is your Lord or tyrant that governs all of your actions and all phases of your life. If you want to invest some money, buy a new home, or some property, while in this attitude, you will do the wrong thing and say the wrong thing, because your predominant mood is negative. The law is: "As within, so without." You are fearing your good, and you would react negatively. Fear is a lack of faith or trust in God, which is a denial of His Omnipotence.
"The Lord is my light and my salvation." The Lord" referred to is the Lord God, or the law of God or good. To put the law of good into operation, -thereby banishing fear once and for all, -enthrone in your mind the thoughts of power, courage, and confidence. These thoughts will generate a corresponding mood or feeling, which will banish the arch enemy of your success and health.
Neville Goddard spoke of "I AM".
It's the ability to say "I am" what I desire right now. Not in the future, not in the past, but right now it is done.
Those of you that embrace Eckhart Tolle's teachings will recognize "being in the now".
" I am rich." right now.
" I am healed" right now.
You have to believe it, even though you don't see it.
What is it Wayne Dyer says " You'll see it when you believe it." ?
"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matthew 21:22
Believing though is the key right? How can you when everyone and everything says " No!" ?
Well, I don't recall anyone saying it's easy.
If you lived in the mountains alone and no one bothered you, maintaining focus would be easier. But most likely you don't. You live in a city or town where you have people, TV, movies and in my opinion the worse downers of them all, news and commercials.
What do you do?
You maintain.
Using the term " fight" seems out of place, but it is a fight within yourself.
The Warrior has awakened. He surveys the war raging before him. He sees the teaming legions mounted against him.
Facing immeasurable odds, he draws his sword and smiles. In a low voice he says to himself...."They are doomed now."
You have to remember, you have already won the war. Right now.
If you read my last post and read Walt's comment below it, you might have discovered something. I know I did. Someone once said (And I can't remember who it was right now) that to achieve happiness, you have to be able to be happy living in a mansion, or a cardboard box. Maybe the key here is attachment. You get too attached to the outcome. "I want a million dollars." Is that what it takes to make you happy? Or can you be happy looking into the eyes of a baby, or a puppy, or a kitten? "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16:26 I know I've mentioned this before, but Neville Goddard said the most effective prayer was "Thank you Father." The Ho'oponopono "chant" is "I love you, I'm sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you." I want or I need isn't anywhere in there is it? Maybe just Thanking is the best way. "I want a million dollars." okay, what if God wanted you to have a billion? "I want a new car." What if God wanted you to have a new car with a chauffeur to drive you? (Again I was raised in a Christian faith, I say "God" because it's comfortable to me. You say what ever name you wish. Actually I think God is too big to be given limiting names.) Now the true test is to be able to say "Thank you Father." when life kicks you in the teeth. Oh it will. In the past year I have gone through the loss of my mother, a big car wreck, cancer and major surgery. I still have the effects of the twelve weeks of chemotherapy I went through. I can't feel my hands or feet. Is it easy to say " Thank you Father" during and after all that? No. But do you just give up? Or do you,as they say,"Let go and let God"? Maybe the way we overcome our obstacles is to let go. Very Zen-like huh? Don't be obsessive, don't fixate. Go about you regular life with a quiet "knowing" that the things you desire will come to pass. Don't worry about the how. And thank your creator for it. Even when you don't see it. Right now.
I have a question I have never heard addressed in all the talk about manifesting reality.
They say the law of attraction is built on scientific laws and principals, that like attracts like.
Ummmm...doesnt Coulomb's Law state that equal charges repulse and different charges attract?
Following that, if I think positive, I'll attract negative things.
But if I think negative, I'll attract positive things.
I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here, it's just that I have this nasty habit of researching things.
I dont have a problem with Faith based LOA, thats something that cant be defined in scientific principles.
But if you start saying something is scientifically accurate, people can check that.
How did "Like attracts like" become one of the spiritual laws of the universe?
And just what are the spiritual laws of the Universe?
Shouldn't it be Spiritual Theories?
I'm sure Neville Goddard, Aleister Crowley and Billy Graham all have/had different views on what spiritual " law" is/was.
You know when I first started reading about Neville Goddard, I could hardly find anything on him. Now a Google Search gives about 299,000 hits for him. Of course that's nothing compared to the 3,230,000 you get for Eckhart Tolle, but Neville has never been on Oprah. One good thing is that almost all (if not all) of Neville's teachings are available online for free. All you need is an internet connection. Neville even has a page at Wikipedia now. I noticed him mentioned in passing in the Secret. " In passing" might be best, because a lot of his teachings are "uncomfortable" to some people. They need to be approached with a fresh and open mind. As always though read such writings with a grain of salt. Read his theories and evaluate them for yourself. One thing that always impressed me about him was his constant call to test his teachings. Apply them and see what they do for you. Don't just accept blindly. " I tried Neville's teachings and they didn't work." " I tried the Secret and it didn't work." " I tried sigils and they didn't work." Well move on, explore. Suppose you were the world's greatest guitarist, but you spent your whole life trying and failing to master the violin. Explore, pick up that guitar, you never know what might happen. By the way, it anyone comes up with a 100 percent fool-proof manifesting technique that works for everyone, let me know. I'll be more than happy to post it. And it better not be a book you can order for 299.99 either. If it is, we can already see your manifesting technique. I don't think there was a cover charge for the Sermon on the Mount was there?
Remember, as Aerosmith said, " Lifes a journey, not a destination."
I've experimented with conscious manifesting techniques for 13 years now. For 5 years I have taught others the tools that I myself have learned in a course called 'Manifesting Results'. Some people come to the course with a preconception that I'm going to teach them how to manifest. The bad news is that I'm not going to do that. The good news is that you already DO manifest everything in your life. You always have. http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/Neta5.html
At some level, each of us has always known that we have attracted people, things, and events into our lives based on our thoughts. The recognition of that is in our daily speech, such phrases as; "What you put your attention on grows", "Be careful what you wish (pray) for" etc. http://www.byregion.net/articles-healers/manifesting.html
It’s September, and the leaves have slowly been changing color the last couple weeks in Portland. I’ve been going through some changes myself, and I’m sure all of you are going through changes as well. One of my changes is a realization that I need to be really authentic about where I’m coming from in order to be a great coach for my clients. Since I started this business in April, it’s gone through some changes as I’ve been trying to figure out what my niche is and how I should represent myself. http://imagineyourreality.wordpress.com/
'Nirvanic Conceptualism': Thought-Provoking New Book Reveals the Truth of All Truths
Mankind has been searching for the truth and unifying force since our beginning. That which can not be debated, that which is absolute. Science discovers facts, only to have them become eradicated. Religions and philosophies come and go. We continue still ... but now it's here, the 'Holy Grail' has been found," claims William Edward Dattilio III. In his new book, "Nirvanic Conceptualism" (published by AuthorHouse -- http://www.authorhouse.com), Dattilio shows us what he believes is the truth that we have been looking for since we've walked the Earth. This philosophy, religion, and science is "the unifying force that will rally mankind and lead us to Freedom." http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/nirvanic-conceptualism-thought-provoking-new-book/story.aspx?guid={D33C4256-BF86-4F49-96D6-13B7F9F22D6E}&dist=hppr
Interesting you might say, but what does this have to do with actual manifesting?
" Dattilio goes on to explain how the mind controls the "flow" of the universe, because "science, and scientific 'facts' are actually not facts at all, they are just authorities given power by mind that can be overthrown if we desire it and make an effort at it." Using this flow can either make or break a reality. "The more minds towards a reality, the more easily it will be able to manifest. The more minds that block the reality the more difficult it will be to manifest. And if the realities can't be manifested externally, the realities are still real in the Nothingness that is Everything, the internal realms of which we are immortal."
I tell you, to attempt to change the circumstances of your life before you change your imaginal activity relative to it, is to struggle against the very nature of things; for this is a world of imagination, created by God - your reality and all imagination.
All things exist in Divine Imagination who is reproducing Himself in you, the human imagination; therefore, all things exist in you.
Now, you have friends. They know your present position and the conditions that surround you. If they are not as you would like them to be, let your friends know - not verbally or outwardly - but in your imagination. See them seeing you as they would have to see you, the day after they know things are just as you want them to be. Then wait in confidence for ways to open that you could not devise. No one knows how or when it will happen, but it will. You will find yourself walking across some bridge of incident that you did not consciously devise, which takes you to your freedom - whatever that end may be.
Start now to create the scene which, if true, would imply the fulfillment of your desire. If you will, there is no power that can stop its coming into being; because your Lord is your Father, who is your potter, and your desire is clay in His hand. So "Rise and go down to the potter's house" said the Lord to the prophet Jeremiah, "and there I will let you hear my words." So I went down to the potter's house and there he was working at his wheel. Although the clay in his hand was spoiled, he didn't discard it but reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
When someone comes into your world, don't discard him by turning your back because he is ill, financially troubled, or not successful in his own eyes. Rather, see his desire as clay in your imaginal hands. Take that same vessel (person) and rework him into another state as it seems good to you to do.
If he is unemployed, rework him into a man who is gainfully employed and happier than he has ever been in his life. That's all you do. What means will be applied toward his employment is not your concern. Your only desire is to be the perfect potter.
Believe my words! Trust your imagination! Having reproduced himself in you, all things now exist in your imagination. If you desire changes, produce them first on the inside. Penetrate that which exists in you, as that penetration will compel the outside to conform to the changes which you, the potter brought to pass. The only way to prove this is to try it. Imagine a scene which would take place after your desire has been fulfilled.
