Joseph Murphy - The Power of Your Subconscious Mind
Joseph Murphy - The Power of Your Subconscious Mind
Joseph Murphy (The Power of Your Subconscious Mind) was taught by the same man that taught Neville Goddard.
But if you read his books, he took the ideas in a slightly different way.
He also advocated everyone's own belief system, as long as you did just that...believe.
Dr.Murphy said...
“You were born to be rich. You grow rich by the use of your God-given faculties, by tuning in with the Infinite, and as your mind becomes productive and full of good ideas, your labor will become more productive and will bring you all kinds of material riches."

Wallace Wattles - The Science of Getting Rich
The Secret To Wealth Creation - Part 1
So just what are the tricks to the law of attraction and creating wealth?
Well since I have been studying this matter since 2000, (long before the book "The Secret" came out) I thought I'd share a few basics that I have run across in my journey.
Now bear in mind that I am NOT saying any of these will work for you.
If they all did, I'd be rich right now.
Of course I'd still share my info for free even if I was.
There are many techniques for manifesting abundance, so give these a try if you wish and see what happens...
Wallace Wattles - The Science of Getting Rich
Allegedly, Wallace Wattles got the idea for The Science of Getting Rich from Phineas Quimby's "mental healing movement".
Wallace thought that if your state of mind has a positive influence over how you feel physically, then could it lead to prosperity, happiness and love?
So Wattles began to apply Quimby's "mental healing" techniques to financial and physiological situations.
By the way, The Science of Getting Rich came out before The Master Key System and Think and Grow Rich, so if you want some source material, this may well be it.

"It Works" and the "Magic of Believing"
If you have not read "It Works: The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True!" by RHJ and "The Magic of Believing" By Claude Bristol, then do yourself a favor and do it.
"It Works" was written in 1923 so it came before 1948's "The Magic of Believing".
RHJ's book may be one of the ones that Bristol read in his quest for knowledge.
The two are very complementary.
In "It Works" RHJ tells you to decide on what you want and write it down making a list.
Claude Bristol says the same thing, but his desires are placed on a card like an index card and he also has other tricks for reinforcing it like the "Mirror Technique."
Also you may note that in RHJ's book, contrary to most current New Thought ideas, he says to to list what you want.
No have....want.
In the follow up book, "The Meaning of the Mark", he mentions several times people writing down their desires as in, "I Want" not "I Have".
But he also does say that you should feel as though you already have these things, so it is a combination of both.
That may go round to where Joseph Murphy said that saying "I have" is pointless at first, because you do not "have" and your mind knows you are lying to it.
He advocated saying "Health" instead of "I am healthy".
Anyway, like I said, if you have not read "It Works" by RHJ and "The Magic of Believing" By Claude Bristol, do it and look for the similarities.
And you can throw in RHJ's "The Meaning of the Mark" for good measure.

Neville Goddard - Breathing Technique
Neville spoke of a lot of different ways to reach your goals.
Feeling, the audio playback, seeing things visually, it wasn't just one thing.
In his lecture "Andrew" he gave a breathing technique.
He mentions it twice, once at the beginning and once at the end.
Here is the best that I could do transcribing the highlights of what he says at the end, the gist of it.
"Get into a lovely, quiet relaxed frame, no so called "Holy Attitude", forget that.
You're Holy when you are in love.
God is love, so if you'd love it for someone else, that's all that you need, that mood.
Wouldn't it be wonder IF she actually had it, if he had it, if they had it.
So you know exactly what you want now.
And then you imagine that you are seeing them.
You can see them in your mind's eye and see them vividly.
And then breath yourself into a rhythm.
They are telling you that they have it.
And you are getting yourself worked up, mostly because you know that they are telling you that they have exactly what you know they want the in this world.
And then you reach a certain point and you explode.
(He mentions earlier breathing in and out and one deep inhalation and then explode)
Something actually goes out of you, it's power.
And you read the words, "Who touched me? For I perceive that virtue has gone out of me. At that moment she was healed."
"Work yourself right up into that state, then let it go. And do not raise one finger to make it so."

Florence Scovel Shinn - The Game of Life
Well, since my last post about the "It Works by RHJ" test, I had to give it up.
It was like I hit a plateau and it just stopped working.
So I have switched gears in a way and started reading Florence Scovel Shinn.
Florence Scovel Shinn was born on September 24, 1871, in Camden, New Jersey.
She was an artist, an actress and then later a New Thought teacher and metaphysical writer.
If you listen or read her stuff, you will see a lot of similarities with Neville Goddard and Joseph Murphy, but there are also a lot of ways in which they are different.
She wrote three books, The Game of Life (1925), Your Word is Your Wand (1928) and The Secret Door to Success (1940).
I really have a funny feeling that her books are some of the ones that Neville read.
You can hear The Game of Life (1925) in it's entirety here:
OR you can read all three of her books online for free here:

It Works by RHJ Update
I started my "It Works by RHJ" test on December 18th, 2014 and I thought I would bring you all up to speed on it.
As I said in the last post, I had a couple of things happen that were beyond the realm of expectation.
But it seems like things have dropped off drastically.
It has been almost two months now and the core ten things that I listed have not happened.
And before you start thinking physical realm vs spiritual realm, let me remind you of what Neville always said, "Test it and see."
He was a big advocate, a HUGE advocate on Faith without works is dead.
People say, "Stop focusing on the material."
Well the material is where I am creating the change.
If nothing happens, to put it simply, it's not working.
Neville always said that you had to have certain things to live your life.
And if the techniques are not getting them, there is a problem with the technique or with you.
So like with the Carole Doré technique, I don't see anything happening in the material world.
But I will give it a bit longer and see if things turn around here.
As it is, I can't recommend this book either.

It Works by RHJ
I cannot believe that I have never done a write up on this book.
But if Blogger Search is to be believed, I haven't.
It Works by RHJ is nicknamed, "The Famous Little Red Book" because it is little (less than 30 pages)...and it is red...so there.
Anyway, the book was written by RHJ who at first didn't want his name being known.
Later it turns out his name was R.H. Jarrett.
The books premise, like all great books like this is VERY simple.
1) You write down in as much detail as possible exactly what you want.
2) Think about it as it is already done (Neville's "Living in the end") as much as possible.
3) Don't talk about it to anyone until you see the the things happen. You don't want their negativity.
The book can be purchased from Amazon or found online in many places for free in PDF form.
Amazon may be one of the best advertisements this book has, because there are many glowing tributes to the book there.
Possibly the greatest tribute is a review by a man named Brad Jensen, whose review is almost as long as the actual book.
Brad starts out saying that, "My annual income is now 35 times greater than it was the day I first read this little book. I have gained houses, cars, boats, businesses, friends, a family, and numerous creative and prospering ideas using the principles set forth in this book."
He even goes on to tell "How to Get Faster and Better Results" in his review.
But Brad's isn't the only review there.
I am in the middle of trying it out myself and I will let you know in a few days how it has worked out.
Right now I have a little over a week left on my 30 day trial run.
But I have to tell you, I have seen at least two things happen already that were amazing and one actually did defy reason.
Like Brad I am not selling the book.
Here is "It Works" by RHJ in it's entirety. I said it was a short book. But in a little over 13 minutes you can hear the whole thing.

My Make It or Break It Experiment...Update
Well here is my promised update.....
Got a letter from the bank today postponing the sale ANOTHER 30 days.
So the old deadline is gone.
Yes, that should go in the miracle category.
Now I have done everything "in the world of Caesar" that I should do, though now I have a few more hoops to jump through.
So what else have I been doing?
Seeing the foreclosure as stopped.
More importantly, feeling the relief I would feel when I got word it was stopped.
Saying "Isn't it wonderful", "Thank you Father" and a new one..." Something wonderful is happenng to me now." that I got from Neville Goddard's "The Game of Life".
Yes I know this blog is supposed to be about creating wealth, how to attract money, the laws of attraction etc., and right now I am writing about breaking even.
Baby steps.
I have seen this does work.
I have evidence.
Now I need to increase my faith and go beyond the point I am now of just holding things off.
And yes, I have begun to see pennies again.
Pennies and more.
As in $115 dollars showed up literally out of the blue to pay a bill.
I am having a great deal more success with this than I did any mantra.
The key here is to "feel" the relief, the happiness, that you would feel should the thing you desire comes to pass.
I cannot stress that enough.
Even if you have to fake it at first, keep doing it.
To further drive this point home, here is an excerpt from Neville's "The Game of Life"...
The game of life, like every game, is played within the framework of certain rules, and any violation of those
rules carries a penalty. You and I are playing this game from morning to night, and should therefore learn its
rules in order to play it well.
Ecclesiastes gives us this rule: "Even in your thought do not curse the king, or in your bed chamber curse the
rich, for a bird will carry your voice or some winged creature tell the matter."And Mark gives us another, as:
"Whatever you desire, believe that you have received it and you will." If you must believe you have received
your desire in order to attain it, then you must start your game by believing it is finished. You must feel
yourself into and partaking of your goal. And you must persist in that feeling in order to achieve it.
Now, another rule is said in this manner: "Cast your bread upon the water and you will find it after many
days." In other words, do not be concerned as to how it is going to happen - just do it. This statement hasn’t
a thing to do with doing good as the world defines the word. Jesus was a carpenter. The word means one
who produces from seed - as a flower, a tree, the earth.
The prophecy of the Old Testament is the seed which a carpenter called Jesus brings to birth. He comes not
to abolish the law and the prophets but to fulfill them.
The word, “bread” in the statement: "Cast your bread upon the waters," means to devour; to consume.
Water is a euphemism for semen, that living water which carries the sperm of man. The creative act is
psychological, not physical; yet the intentions are the same. You must cast your bread upon the waters with
passion! You must be consumed with the desire and literally on fire with love for its possession, for an intense
imaginal act will always draw unto itself its own affinity.
Winston Churchill departed this world a very successful man; however, during his life he had many failures.
Then one day he made this discovery, which changed his life. These are his words: "The mood decides the
fortunes of people, rather than the fortunes decide the mood."
Let me put it this way: The game of life is won by those who compare their thoughts and feelings within to
what appears on the outside. And the game is lost by those who do not recognize this law. Being consumed
by anger, they see no change in their world. But if they would change their mood, their circumstances would
change. Then they would recognize the law behind their world.
There are those who are depressed all day long and remain that way all of their life. I remember back in New
York City, when I would see certain people walking in my direction I would want to cross the street,
because I did not want to hear their depressing stories. They would spend hours telling about their wife or
husband, their children or grandchildren, and each story geared to depression. Never changing their mood,
their world never changed. Seeing no change, they would not recognize a law between the inner world they
maintain and the outer world of response.
But if you apply this law you can predict your future. Feel a new mood rise within you. Sustain it and soon
you will meet people who embody this new state. Even inanimate objects are under the sway of these
affinities. In a certain mood I have gone to my library and removed a book I have not touched in years. And
when I casually open it, I find confirmation of my mood. A table, though remaining the same, will be seen
differently based upon your momentary mood, for everything reflects it. It is your mood which decides your
fortune, not your fortune that decides your mood. People feeling poor attract poverty, not knowing that if
they felt rich they would attract wealth.

My Make It or Break It Experiment
Okay, this is a little different post.
This is gonna be my "make it or break it" manifesting experiment.
Our house is heading for foreclosure, and to stop it I have to come up with 5,000 dollars before March 15th.
Now we all know the techniques, I have been studying them for years.
I've made it through Cancer, so I guess this is my next big test.
I have to imagine now as if I already have the 5,000 dollars, it's paid and everything is okay.
I've detailed my own experiments here in the past, but this one is gonna be the big one.
Okay, Cancer was bigger, but this is a big one too.
Neville says to think, feel and act as though something is already done.
And that is what I am trying very hard to do.
But as I have pointed out before, that is very hard with something staring you in the face.
Of course I spoke from experience there, because I stared Cancer in the face.
And while I'm doing this, I wouldn't mind at all if some of you (or all of you) out there saw me as posting that the 5,000 was a done deal and that the house was free and clear.
As Neville said" Sharing the burden".
I'll keep everyone updated on how this is going.
And I thank everyone now for their thoughts, prayers and energy.
Like I said, just imagine that everything is fine NOW and that everything is taken care of.
I (and you) don't have to see how or why it happened, just that it is already done.
And to illustrate this point, here is an excerpt from a talk Neville gave on radio station KECA in Los Angeles back in July, 1951....
"How would you feel if your prayer were answered?
Well, assume that feeling until you experience in imagination what you would experience in reality if your prayer were answered.
Prayer means getting into action mentally.
It means holding the attention upon the idea of the wish fulfilled until it fills the mind and crowds all other ideas out of the consciousness.
This statement that prayer means getting into action mentally and holding the attention upon the idea of the wish fulfilled until it fills the mind and crowds all other ideas out of the consciousness, does not mean that prayer is a mental effort – an act of will.
On the contrary, prayer is to be contrasted with an act of will.
Prayer is a surrender.
It means abandoning oneself to the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
If prayer brings no response – there is something wrong with the prayer and the fault lies generally in too much effort.
Serious confusion arises insofar as men identify the state of prayer with an act of will, instead of contrasting it with an act of will.
The sovereign rule is to make no effort, and if this is observed, you will intuitively fall into the right attitude.
Creativeness is not an act of will, but a deeper receptiveness – a keener susceptibility.
The acceptance of the end – the acceptance of the answered prayer – finds the means for its realization.
Feel yourself into the state of the answered prayer until the state fills the mind and crowds all other states out of your consciousness.
What we must work for is not the development of the will, but the education of the imagination and the steadying of attention.
Prayer succeeds by avoiding conflict.
Prayer is, above all things, easy.
Its greatest enemy is effort.
The mighty surrenders itself fully only to that which is most gentle.
The wealth of Heaven may not be seized by a strong will, but surrenders itself, a free gift, to the Godspent moment.
Along the lines of least resistance travel spiritual as well as physical forces. "

Feeling Is The Secret - Neville Goddard
As I said in the previous post, I have been studying a lot of Neville Goddard's work.
And as I have stated before, these techniques can be used not only for creating wealth and manifesting abundance, but for just about everything else.
Out of all of the techniques I have used Neville's techniques seem to work the best for me.
His "law of assumption" seems to have a better track record with me than the law of attraction does.
A long time ago when I started to study all of this, a friend of mine sent me a bunch of Neville's teachings in an e-mail, and at the time I couldn't find them anywhere else.
But since then I have run across many (if not all) of these at http://www.nevillelecturehall.com/
If you go there, you read Neville's teachings in full, and get some insight on how to employ them in your life.
The post for today is from a talk Neville did on Station KECA in Los Angeles back in July of 1951.
Feeling Is The Secret
Recently, I asked a very successful businessman his formula for success.
He laughed and was a little embarrassed.
Then he replied, "I guess it’s just because I can’t conceive of failure. It’s nothing that I think about much. It’s more a feeling that I have."
His statement coincided completely with my own beliefs and experiments.
We can think about something forever and never see it in our world, but once let us feel its reality, and we are bound to encounter it.
The more intensely we feel, the sooner we will encounter it.
We all regard feelings far too much as effects, and not sufficiently as causes of the events of the day.
Feeling is not only the result of our conditions of life, it is also the creator of those conditions.
We say we are happy because we are well, not realizing that the process will work equally well in the reverse direction.
We are well because we are happy. We are all far too undisciplined in our feelings.
To be joyful for another is to bless ourselves as well as him.
To be angry with another is to punish ourselves for his fault.
The distressed mind stays at home though the body travels to the ends of the earth, while the happy mind travels though the body remains at home.
Feeling is the secret of successful prayer, for in prayer, we feel ourselves into the situation of the answered prayer and, then, we live and act upon that conviction.
Feeling after Him, as the Bible suggests, is a gradual unfolding of the soul’s hidden capacities.
Feeling yields in importance to no other.
It is the ferment without which no creation is possible.
All forms of creative imagination imply elements of feeling.
All emotional dispositions whatever may influence the creative imagination.
Feeling after Him has no finality.
It is an acquisition, increasing in proportion to receptivity, which has not and never will have finality.
An idea which is only an idea produces nothing and does nothing.
It acts only if it is felt, if it is accompanied by effective feeling.
Somewhere within the soul there is a mood which, if found, means wealth, health, happiness to us.
The creative desire is innate in man.
His whole happiness is involved in this impulse to create.
Because men do not perfectly "feel," the results of their prayers are unsure, when they might be perfectly sure.
We read in Proverbs, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth the bones."
Orchestral hearts burn in the oil of the lamp of the king.
The spirit sings unto the Lord a new song.
All true prayer wears a glad countenance; the good are anointed with the oil of gladness above their fellows.
Let us, then, watch our feelings, our reactions to the day’s events.
And let us guard our feelings even more zealously in the act of prayer, for prayer is the true creative state.
Dignity indicates that man hears the greater music of life, and moves to the tempo of its deeper meaning.
If we did nothing but imagine and feel the lovely, the world’s reform would, at once, be accomplished.
Many of the stories of the Bible deal exclusively with the power of imagination and feeling.
"Feeling after Him" is the cry of the truth seeker.
Only imagination and feeling can restore the Eden from which experience has driven us.
Feeling and imagination are the senses by which we perceive the beyond.
Where knowledge ends, they begin.
Every noble feeling of man is the opening for him of some door to the divine world.
Let us measure men, not by the height of their cities, but by the magnificence of their imaginations and feelings.
Let us turn our thought up to Heaven and mix our imagination with the angels.
The world that moves us is the one we imagine, not the world that surrounds us.
In the imagination lie the unexplored continents, and man’s great future adventure.
This consciousness of nonfinality in "feeling after God" has been the experience of all earnest Godward feelers.
They realize that their conception of the Infinite has constantly deepened and expanded with experience.
Those who endeavor to think out the meaning of the experience and to coordinate it with the rest of our knowledge, are the philosophic mystics; those who try to develop the faculty in themselves, and to deepen the experience are the practical or experimental mystics.
Some, and among them the greatest, have tried to do both.
Religion begins in subjective experience.
Religion is what a man does with his solitude, for in solitude we are compelled to subjective experience.
A True Religious Attitude is man’s salvation.
God never changes; it is we who are changing; our spiritual eyes are ever getting keener; and this enlargement of truth will bring us an ever increasing inner peace.
The best defense against the deceptive assault upon our mental and moral eyesight is the spiritual eye or the Eye of God.
In other words, a spiritual ideal that cannot be changed by circumstance, a code of personal honor and integrity in ourselves and good will and love to others.
"Not what thou art, nor what thou hast been, beholdeth God with his merciful eyes, but that thou wouldst be."
Through the veins of the humblest man on earth runs the royal blood of being.
Therefore, let us look at man through the eyes of imaginative love which is really seeing with the Eye of God.
Under the influence of the Eye of God, the ideal rises up out of the actual as water is etherialized by the sun into the imagery cloudland.
Things altogether distant are present to the spiritual eye.
The Eye of God makes the future dream a present fact.
Not four months to harvest – look again, If we persist in this seeing, one day we will arise with the distance in our eyes, and all the staying, stagnant nearby will suddenly be of no importance.
We will brush it aside as we pass on to our farseen objective.
The man who really finds himself cannot do otherwise than let himself be guided by love.
He is of too pure eyes to behold iniquity.
Our ability to help others will be in proportion to our ability to control and help ourselves.
The day a man achieves victory over himself, history will discover that to have been a victory over his enemy.
The healing touch is in an attitude, and one day man will discover that one governs souls only with serenity.
The mighty surrenders itself fully only to the most gentle.
Recognizing the power of feeling, let us pay strict attention to our moods and attitudes.
Every stage of man’s progress is made through the exercise of his imagination and feeling.
By creating an "ideal" within our mental sphere we can feel ourselves into this "ideal image" till we become one and the same with it, absorbing its qualities into the very core of our being.
The solitary or captive can, by the intensity of his imagination and feeling, effect myriads so that he can act through many men and speak through many voices.
Extend your feelers, trust your touch, participate in all flights of your imaginations and be not afraid of your own sensitivities.
The best way to feel another’s good is to be more intensely aware of it.
Be like my friend and have "more of a feeling" for the health, the wealth, the happiness you desire.
Ideas do not bless unless they descend from Heaven and take flesh.
Make results or accomplishments the crucial test of true imagination.
As you observe these results, you will determine to fill your images with love and to walk in a high and noble mood for you will know with the poet: "That which ye sow ye reap. See yonder fields The sesamum was sesamum, the corn was corn. The Silence and the Darkness knew So is man’s fate born."
And as I have stated before, these techniques can be used not only for creating wealth and manifesting abundance, but for just about everything else.

Neville Goddard Manifesting Technique in Full
This is a VERY long post so I have to ask you to bear with me here.
As you know I am a big fan of Neville Goddard and have been reading his techniques for creating wealth, manifesting abundance, creating health, heck, just about everything, for a long time.
I recently have gone back in and began reviewing his manifesting techniques and applying them with some measure of success.
I have put his techniques up before, but usually in an abbreviated version.
I thought maybe it would be best to post his technique in it's entirety, to let you see everything.
This comes from the "Neville Class Instruction", a booklet of lessons from 1948.
I'm sure these techniques are in his other books, but like I said, I wanted to present them in full.
We are now in 2010, and you hear about wars and rumors of wars, the failing economy, how hopeless everything is everyday.
BUT, when Neville was teaching, it was the same way.
For example in 1948:
Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated.
The Soviet Union was jamming Voice of America broadcasts.
The Communist Party seized control of Czechoslovakia.
The United States Supreme Court ruled that religious instruction in public schools violated the U.S. Constitution.
There was the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.
The Berlin Blockade began.
President Harry S. Truman issued the second peacetime military draft in the United States.
I have to admit though, the 1948 unemployment rate of 3.8 percent looks pretty darn good compared to 2009's 9.3.
But anyway, things were bad then, so Neville's teachings are not out of date.
So here is the detailed technique as described by Neville in 1948....
Let me now define the technique as I want you to employ it.
I trust each one of you came here tonight with a clear picture of your desire.
Do not say it is impossible.
Do you want it?
You do not have to use your moral code to realize it.
It is altogether outside the reach of your code.
Consciousness is the one and only reality.
Therefore, we must form the object of our desire out of our own consciousness.
People have a habit of slighting the importance of simple things, and the suggestion to create a state akin to sleep in order to aid you in assuming that which reason and your senses deny, is one of the simple things you might slight.
However, this simple formula for changing the future, which was discovered by the ancient teachers and given to us in the Bible, can be proved by all.
The first step in changing the future is Desire, that is, define your objective know definitely what you want.
Second: construct an event which you believe you would encounter FOLLOWING the fulfillment of your desire an event which implies fulfillment of your desire something which will have the action of Self predominant.
The third step is to immobilize the physical body and induce a state akin to sleep.
Then mentally feel yourself right into the proposed action, imagine all the while that you are actually performing the action HERE AND NOW.
You must participate in the imaginary action, not merely stand back and look on, but FEEL that you are actually performing the action, so that the imaginary sensation is real to you.
It is important always to remember that the proposed action must be one which FOLLOWS the fulfillment of your desire, one which implies fulfillment. For example, suppose you desired promotion in office.
Then being congratulated would be an event you would encounter following the fulfillment of your desire.
Having selected this action as the one you will experience in imagination to imply promotion in office, immobilize your physical body and induce a state bordering on sleep, a drowsy state, but one in which you are still able to control the direction of your thoughts, a state in which you are attentive without effort.
Then visualize a friend standing before you.
Put your imaginary hand into his.
Feel it to be solid and real, and carry on an imaginary conversation with him in harmony with the FEELING OF HAVING BEEN PROMOTED.
You do not visualize yourself at a distance in point of space and at a distance in point of time being congratulated on your good fortune.
Instead, you MAKE elsewhere HERE and the future NOW.
The difference between FEELING yourself in action, here and now , and visualizing yourself in action, as though you were on a motionpicture screen, is the difference between success and failure.
The difference will be appreciated if you will now visualize yourself climbing a ladder.
Then, with eyelids closed imagine that a ladder is right in front of you and FEEL YOURSELF ACTUALLY CLIMBING IT.
Experience has taught me to restrict the imaginary action which implies fulfillment of the desire, to condense the idea into a single act, and to reenact it over and over again until it has the feeling of reality.
Otherwise, your attention will wander off along an associational track, and hosts of associated images will be presented to your attention, and in a few seconds they will lead you hundreds of miles away from your objective in point of space and years away in point of time.
If you decide to climb a particular flight of stairs, because that is the likely event to follow the fulfillment of your desire, then you must restrict the action to climbing that particular flight of stairs.
Should your attention wander off, bring it back to its task of climbing that flight of stairs, and keep on doing so until the imaginary action has all the solidity and distinctness of reality.
The idea must be maintained in the mind without any sensible effort on your part.
You must, with the minimum of effort permeate the mind with the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
Drowsiness facilitates change because it favors attention without effort, but it must not be pushed to the state of sleep in which you no longer are able to control the movements of your attention.
But a moderate degree of drowsiness in which you are still able to direct your thoughts.
A most effective way to embody a desire is to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled and then, in a relaxed and drowsy state, repeat over and over again like a lullaby, any short phrase which implies fulfillment of your desire, such as, "Thank you, thank you, thank you" as though you addressed a higher power for having given you that which you desired.
I know that when this course comes to an end on Friday many of you here will be able to tell me you have realized your objectives.
Two weeks ago I left the platform and went to the door to shake hands with the audience.
I am safe in saying that at least 35 out of a class of 135 told me that which they desired when they joined this class they had already realized.
This happened only two weeks ago.
I did nothing to bring it to pass save to give them this technique of prayer.
You need do nothing to bring it to pass save apply this technique of prayer.
With your eyes closed and your physical body immobilized induce a state akin to sleep and enter into the action as though you were an actor playing the part.
Experience in imagination what you would experience in the flesh were you now in possession of your objective.
Make elsewhere HERE and then NOW.
And the greater you, using a larger focus will use all means, and call them good, which tend toward the production of that which you have assumed.
You are relieved of all responsibility to make it so, because as you imagine and feel that it is so your dimensionally larger self determines the means.
Do not think for one moment that some one is going to be injured in order to make it so, or that some one is going to be disappointed.
It is still not your concern.
I must drive this home.
Too many of us, schooled in different walks of life, are so concerned about the other.
You ask, 'If I get what I want will it not imply injury to another?'
There are ways you know not of, so do not be concerned.
Close your eyes now because we are going to be in a long silence.
Soon you will become so lost in contemplation, feeling that you are what you want to be, that you will be totally unconscious of the fact that you are in this room with others.
You will receive a shock when you open your eyes and discover we are here.
It should be a shock when you open your eyes and discover that you are not actually that which, a moment before, you felt you were, or felt you possessed. Now we will go into the deep.
I need not remind you that you are now that which you have assumed that you are.
Do not discuss it with anyone, not even self.
You cannot take thought as to the HOW, when you know that you ARE already.
Your threedimensional reasoning, which is a very limited reasoning indeed should not be brought into this drama.
It does not know.
What you have just felt to be true is true.
Let no man tell you that you should not have it.
What you feel that you have, you will have.
And I promise you this much, after you have realized your objective, on reflection you will have to admit that this conscious reasoning mind of yours could never have devised the way.
You are that and have that which this very moment you appropriated.
Do not discuss it.
Do not look to someone for encouragement because the thing might not come.
It has come.
Go about your Father's business doing everything normally and let these things happen in your world.

Neville Goddard - Creating Wealth and Manifesting Abundance
Creating wealth, manifesting abundance, these are all topics that I have covered here before.
You can attract health the same way you attract wealth.
If you read Neville Goddard, you know that he teaches thinking from the end as a way to accomplish this.
All of your life you are told not to put the cart before the horse, but in this case, that's the basis.
Take a few moments during the day, relax, and imagine what it would feel like to have exactly what you want.
Don't think about the how or why, just think about the end result.
You are healthy, you are wealthy, you have that new house, you have that new car, the matter is resolved in your favor.
But don't quit acting, as Neville said go on about " Your Fathers work".
Just thinking wont get it accomplished for most of us.
But imagining that you are where you want to be, will open up the path that leads you to where you want to be.
Here are a few quotes from Imagining Creates, by Neville in 1968.....
The creator of the world works in the depth of your soul, underlying all of your faculties, including perception, and streams into your surface mind least disguised in the form of creative fancy. Watch your thoughts, and you will catch Him in the act of creating, for He is your very Self! Every moment of time you are imagining what you are conscious of, and if you do not forget what you are imagining and it comes to pass, you have found the creative cause of your world.
Because God is pure imagination and the only creator, if you imagine a state and bring it to pass, you have found Him. Remember:God is your consciousness, your I AM; so when you are imagining, God is doing it. If you imagine and forget what you imagine, you may not recognize your harvest when it appears. It may be good, bad, or indifferent, but if you forget how it came into being, you have not found God.
You do not have to be rich to be happy but you must be imaginative! You could have great wealth and be afraid of tomorrow's needs, or have nothing and travel the world over, for all things exist in your own wonderful human imagination.
I urge you to shape your world from within and no longer from without. Describe yourself as you would like to be seen by others and believe your words. Walk in the assumption they are true and - because no power can thwart God - what He is imagining, you will experience.
The world is yourself pushed out. Ask yourself what you want and then give it to yourself! Do not question how it will come about; just go your way, knowing that the evidence of what you have done must appear, and it will.
Remember: you don't have to abide by anything you dislike. It is but a vessel in your hand which is not properly shaped. Go down to the potter's house and rework it into another vessel as it seems good for you, the potter, to do.
You can not only rework your concept of self into a new one, but you can rework another. If one is not well or does not earn enough to pay his expenses, the concept is misshapen. You don't ask the vessel if you may rework it, rather you feel as though you have witnessed the change or heard the good news.
There must be action, for an idea alone produces nothing. You must act within yourself by entering the idea.
When someone calls or makes a request of you, you must act upon it by producing a motor element within yourself. It may be the sound of their voice telling you it has already happened. Or you may feel the touch of his hand. Whatever you do, it must be something that takes the desire from being an idea and moves it into
the creative state of fulfillment.
You can attract health the same way you attract wealth.

Awaken Your Inner Power Results - Part Three
Well now I am getting the most unusual manifesting abundance result I have seen.
Pennies.
Everywhere I go, there seem to be pennies laying at my feet.
Sometimes two or three at a time, but almost every time I go out, I find pennies laying on the ground/floor.
So is this the beginning of attraction?
Is it pennies because my prosperity mind-set hasn't gotten high enough yet?
Is this a sign that I am on the right path?
By the way, since this is Christmas time, when I find a lot of pennies in one store, I have been donating them to the Salvation Army bell ringers outside of the store when I come out.
I am keeping track of my running totals though for the three per cent donation.
In addition to the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra, I have added a Neville Goddard technique of counting money.
Visualizing that I am counting out a stack of one hundred dollars bills.
You can do it with any denomination, just close your eyes, count out the money and imagine you are counting out any amount you wish.
You can even cut pieces of paper to the size of currency and count them out, imaging that it is real money.
Just believe that it is the amount you want.
Of course this helps with thinking from the end, because you are telling yourself that you already have the money.
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Mark 11:24
Of course back then it was easier to "believe that ye receive them" because you didn't have everyone and everything telling you that you haven't received them.
I think that is why we have to condition our minds so much now, to fight the constant bombardment of negative input we get everyday.
When you watch the news, read the paper etc, all you see and hear is "The economy is bad, we are all doomed".
If you go back to Neville's early teaching (and many of the other New Thought teachers) , that was the same mindset people had when he was lecturing.
So his techniques are designed to operate under these circumstances.
Because...
"That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun."
Ecclesiastes 1:9
Mark 11:24

Neville Goddard Backed Up By Science?
I was looking at the article about Creating God in one's own image over at Science Blogs.com
And a thought occurred to me.
Actually it occurred to me when I read this....
"The brain scans found the same thing, particularly in a region called the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) that's been linked to self-referential thinking. The mPFC is more active when we think about our own mindsets than those of others. Epley found that it was similarly abuzz when the recruits thought about their own attitude or God's, but lower when they considered the average American. The three images below show the differences in brain activity between the three tasks and you can see that the 'God' and 'self' scans had little to distinguish them.
The results suggest that similar parts of the brain are involved when we consider our own beliefs and those of God - Epley thinks this is why we end up inferring a deity's attitudes based on those we hold ourselves."
Now instead of igniting a whole firestorm of religious belief questioning (like the article seems to have done on some forums) it made me think....
Is this not scientific back up for what Neville Goddard taught?
That God is within us and acts through our human imagination?
"you can see that the 'God' and 'self' scans had little to distinguish them."
So if the scans find little difference between God and self.....
Well, I think if you read Neville, or have studied him much, that sentence does nothing to shake your belief in God.

Awaken Your Inner Power Results - Part Two
I have been doing the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra for manifesting abundance now for around two months.
So far I have gotten sixty one dollars and three cents out of the blue.
So now, next month I actually CAN donate that three percent to his foundation.
Again though I have to point out, that I haven't received the hundreds or thousands that I have seen claimed.
BUT, some money has come in, unasked for.
And again, I like the way Dattatreya set this up.
You don't send in any money unless it works.
Compare that to the manifesting prosperity teachers that say "Give me $199.99 (or more), and I'll show you how to manifest money".
I'm afraid that the manifesting wealth circles have turned into the feeding grounds for con men.
Like I have said many times before, if I ran across a sure fire method for attracting abundance, I'd let everyone know...for free.
Because if I am manifesting abundance for myself easily, why ask you for money?
"Hey I can manifest a car or a house easily! Send me the money that you don't have, and I'll teach you to do it too!"
The law of attraction states that like attracts like... right?
Then if I help other people, the universe will help me...correct?
Why does Samuel L Jackson's speech from Pulp Fiction keep popping into my head as I write this?
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
Yeah I know it's not really in the Bible like that, but I keep hearing that when I think about some of the "teachers" out there.
Wow...I must really sound like the most cynical "positive thinking" person in the world huh?
I guess it's because I have been reading a lot of Neville Goddard lately, and although Neville is definitely not a "wrath of God" kinda guy, he does talk a lot about bearing your brother's burdens.
When someone is in trouble, you don't ask him (or her) for money, you help them.
Neville's way was to picture that person as gainfully employed, healthy, happy, whatever they needed.
To me, that is shepherding the weak.

EFT, Can You Tap Your Way To Health and Wealth?
I have been reading about Carol Tuttle and doing some research on EFT recently when I ran across this article at TapIntoHeaven.com.
Now I don't believe everything I read.
But I will try something just to see what it does for me.
So I'm gonna give this technique a try and see what happens.
Here is the intro to the article which make some amazing claims......
I was skeptical when I first heard about tapping in positive statements to increase the flow of money into my life - affirmations were not my cup of tea. But I'll try almost anything once. So when a good friend of mine shared a powerful affirmation proven to increase self–esteem and attract abundance, I changed the wording around a bit to make it mine, and then experimented with my statement using the Temporal Tap technique.
Five days later, I was unexpectedly handed a check for over $18,000.00 and told to do with the money as I wished!
You can read the full article (and yes they give you the technique for free) here:
http://www.tapintoheaven.com/2Articles/ql0102.shtml
Like I said, I don't believe everything I read or hear.
But I do keep an open mind.
And I will try things other people think are crazy.
Of course reading Neville you don't have a problem with that, he always said test it yourself and see what happens.
Some though tell you that your attempts fail because you don't believe.
Well for me to believe, I have to see a positive outcome.
And as I have always said, if I EVER run across something that I know works 100%, you'll see a big "DO THIS IT WORKS!" in the blog title.
I'll tell EVERYONE and I'll tell them for free!
I don't think taping my head while saying an affirmation will hurt me, so I'm taking it out for a test drive.
Now I don't believe everything I read.

Let me sleep on it: Creative problem solving enhanced by REM sleep
Let me sleep on it: Creative problem solving enhanced by REM sleep:
"Research led by a leading expert on the positive benefits of napping at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine suggests that Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep enhances creative problem-solving. The findings may have important implications for how sleep, specifically REM sleep, fosters the formation of associative networks in the brain.
The study by Sara Mednick, PhD, assistant professor of psychiatry at UC San Diego and the VA San Diego Healthcare System, and first author Denise Cai, graduate student in the UC San Diego Department of Psychology, shows that REM directly enhances creative processing more than any other sleep or wake state. Their findings will be published in the June 8th online edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS)."
Well that's something we have never heard about isn't it?

The Foundation Stone- Imagination, by Neville Goddard
From "The Foundation Stone- Imagination" by Neville Goddard, December 1st, 1959......
"We believe that man can create anything he desires. We believe the Universe is infinite response and the one who causes it is the individual perceiver. Nothing is independent of your perception of it. We are so interwoven we are part of the machine, but as we awake we detach ourselves from this machine and make life as we wish it to be. "For man is all Imagination and God is man and exists in us and we in him." "The eternal body of man is the Imagination: that is God himself." You can imagine and I can imagine, and if we can be faithful to the state imagined it must appear in our world. This is not new. This was given centuries ago, for we have it in the Bible; but people do not know how to read the Bible, so they got together and organized it into an "ism." It is not an "ism," but it is the great plan to free man. The Bible shows this plan in detail."
"I say the universe is infinite response, but it also gives back more than you imagine. It is pressed down and running over. Therefore, to be negative can be frightening. The good will come back a thousandfold, but so will the negative. But if I am optimistic and do not waver, I will bring that also pressed down and running over. It is something wonderful; it will come like a gusher. The world responds more than it takes, and it gives to the individual more than he imagines - good or bad."

Believe in Yourself, Joseph Murphy
From Believe in Yourself by Dr. Joseph Murphy
"A great industrialist told me one time how he started in a small store. He said that I used to dream (Joseph was a dreamer) of a large corporation with branches all over the country. He added that regularly and systematically he pictured in his mind the giant building, offices, factories, and stores, knowing that through the alchemy of the mind, he could weave the fabric out of which his dreams would be clothed. He prospered, and began to attract to himself by a universal law of attraction the ideas, personnel, friends, money, and everything needed for the unfoldment of his ideal. He truly exercised and cultivated his imagination, and lived with these mental patterns in his mind until imagination clothed them in form.
I liked particularly one comment which he made as follows, "It is just as easy to imagine yourself successful, as it is to imagine failure, and far more interesting."
"We have said previously that all our mental attitudes are conditioned by imagination. If you imagine: It is going to be a black day today; business is going to be very poor; that it is raining; no customers will come into your store; they have no money, etc., you will experience the result of your negative imagery.
One time Troward (Thomas Troward*) was walking the streets of London, and he imagined he saw a snake on the street. Fear caused him to become semi-paralyzed. What he saw looked like a snake, but Troward had the same mental and emotional reaction as if it were a snake.
Imagine whatsoever things are lovely, noble, and of good report, and your entire emotional attitude toward life will change. What do you imagine about life? Is it going to be a happy life for you? Or is it one long series of frustrations? "Choose ye whom ye will serve."*
You mold, fashion, and shape your outer world of experience according to the mental images you habitually dwell on. Imagine conditions and circumstances in life which dignify, elevate, please, and satisfy. If you imagine life is cold, cruel, hard, bitter, and that struggle and pain are inevitable, you are making life miserable for yourself."
* Thomas Troward is one of the authors credited with inspiring "The Secret" film.

Imagination Fullfills Its Self - Neville Goddard
From Imagination Fullfills Its Self, by Neville Goddard, October 26th, 1968.....
"I say imagination creates reality, and if this premise is true then imagination fulfills itself in what your life becomes. Although I have changed the words, what I am saying is not new. Scripture says it in this manner: "Whatsoever you desire, believe you have received it and you will." This statement goes back two thousand years, yet even before that Jeremiah tells of the same principle in his story of the potter and his clay.
But until imagination becomes a part of your normal, natural currency of thought, you will not act consciously. Like breathing, this awareness must become so much a part of you that you will not turn to the left or the right to praise or blame anyone. When you know this presence it will not matter if you started life behind the eight-ball, or in a palace; as a poor, or a rich child; you will realize that life is always externalizing what you are imagining.
Lacking the knowledge of this principle, you can reproduce your environment - be it pleasant or unpleasant - forever and ever, as you feed your imagination on what your senses dictate. But knowing this principle, you can ignore the present, and untethered by the so-called facts of life, you can imagine the present as you desire it to be and feed upon your desire, rather than its omission. "
"I tell you: imagining creates reality. Believe me, for it is true. Faucett* was right when he said," The secret of imagining is the greatest of all problems to the solution of which the mystic aspires, for supreme power, supreme wisdom and supreme delight lie in the far off solution of this mystery. "
"I ask you to take me seriously. Imagination will fulfill itself, so do not limit yourself by anything that is now happening, no matter what it is. Knowing what you want, conceive a scene which would imply you have it. Persuade yourself of its truth and walk blindly on in that assumption. Believe it is real. Believe it is true and it will come to pass. Imagination will not fail you if you dare to assume and persist in your assumption, for imagination will fulfill itself in what your life becomes."
*I think he was referring to Edward Douglas Fawcett who wrote "Divine Imagining" in 1921.
