I have been doing the "Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha" mantra for manifesting abundance now for around two months.
So far I have gotten sixty one dollars and three cents out of the blue.
So now, next month I actually CAN donate that three percent to his foundation.
Again though I have to point out, that I haven't received the hundreds or thousands that I have seen claimed.
BUT, some money has come in, unasked for.
And again, I like the way Dattatreya set this up.
You don't send in any money unless it works.
Compare that to the manifesting prosperity teachers that say "Give me $199.99 (or more), and I'll show you how to manifest money".
I'm afraid that the manifesting wealth circles have turned into the feeding grounds for con men.
Like I have said many times before, if I ran across a sure fire method for attracting abundance, I'd let everyone know...for free.
Because if I am manifesting abundance for myself easily, why ask you for money?
"Hey I can manifest a car or a house easily! Send me the money that you don't have, and I'll teach you to do it too!"
The law of attraction states that like attracts like... right?
Then if I help other people, the universe will help me...correct?
Why does Samuel L Jackson's speech from Pulp Fiction keep popping into my head as I write this?
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
Yeah I know it's not really in the Bible like that, but I keep hearing that when I think about some of the "teachers" out there.
Wow...I must really sound like the most cynical "positive thinking" person in the world huh?
I guess it's because I have been reading a lot of Neville Goddard lately, and although Neville is definitely not a "wrath of God" kinda guy, he does talk a lot about bearing your brother's burdens.
When someone is in trouble, you don't ask him (or her) for money, you help them.
Neville's way was to picture that person as gainfully employed, healthy, happy, whatever they needed.
To me, that is shepherding the weak.

EFT and the Law of Attraction, Final Report
Okay, I started the EFT and the Law of Attraction experiment on July 22, 2009.
It's August 12th right now so I have been tapping for 22 days.
Results?
None.
Nope, not a thing happened.
I tried it for 3 weeks and I can see no change in "my reality" at all.
Should you try it?
Sure, just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it wont work for you.
All I can do is tell you my experience with it.
(And to all you people out there saying "Sabre? What did you expect? You were just tapping on your head!" I say "Pfffft!" LOL)
So whats up next?
Well I plan to try the Joseph Murphy techniques.
I guess the next entry will be Joseph Murphy and the Law of Attraction.
I'll use the methods he describes and see what changes in my reality happen.
BTW, the EFT did seem to relax me.
So I have to go on the record saying it is good for that.
And if anyone has tried it and gotten different results, please let us know.
But please say exactly what you did so I can compare what you did to what I did and see if I can come up with a reason one technique works and another doesnt.

EFT and the Law of Attraction Report 3
Okay, it's been 14 days now of me doing the EFT and the Law of Attraction experiment.
Has anything amazing happened?
Nope.
True I had that one instance, but really that could be chalked up to coincidence.
No 18,000 dollars showing up out of nowhere.
So now do I keep tapping?
Well it has only been two weeks.
I think I'll go another week, give it a month and see what happens.
Now really, doing the tapping does seem to relax me more, so I can recommend EFT for relaxation.
But as far as the Law of Attraction, I haven't seen anything yet to substantiate that.
Of course everyone is different and what works for you may not work for me.
So I can only tell you what my personal experience is.
I do really hope this works.
I'd love to find a system I can recommend to everyone.
I would dearly LOVE to post here one day and say "This is amazing! You have to do it!"
But until that day, I'll keep working these things out.

Supreme Mastery of Fear by Joseph Murphy
From: Supreme Mastery of Fear by Joseph Murphy....
Who is your Lord and master this very moment?
Your Lord is your predominant, mental attitude; it is your conviction or belief about yourself, people, and things; this Lord can be a tyrant. For example, if your mood is now one of resentment, that is your Lord or tyrant that governs all of your actions and all phases of your life. If you want to invest some money, buy a new home, or some property, while in this attitude, you will do the wrong thing and say the wrong thing, because your predominant mood is negative. The law is: "As within, so without." You are fearing your good, and you would react negatively. Fear is a lack of faith or trust in God, which is a denial of His Omnipotence.
"The Lord is my light and my salvation." The Lord" referred to is the Lord God, or the law of God or good. To put the law of good into operation, -thereby banishing fear once and for all, -enthrone in your mind the thoughts of power, courage, and confidence. These thoughts will generate a corresponding mood or feeling, which will banish the arch enemy of your success and health.

More From : ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE, Neville Goddard, 05-12-1969
" Say: "I am secure, I am wealthy, I am free." This may not be true based upon your senses, but I am simply asking you to say the words, for the moment you do you are subjectively appropriating security, wealth, and freedom. Reason will try to take these from you, so I ask you to play a little game with me. Go through the door and walk as though you are secure, wealthy, and free. Sleep this night as though it were true. If you do, you will not fall asleep seeing the world as you did last night, you will see it differently. If this morning someone gave you a check for $20,000 and you deposited it to your account, you would be $20,000richer, therefore you could not sleep tonight as you did before. Now, without waiting for someone to physically give you the money, go to bed as though it were true. Put Christ to the extreme test. If all things are possible to God and if all things are possible to the believer, can you believe? I am not saying you will succeed the first night, or even the second. Having been trained to accept only what your reason and senses dictate, you may find it difficult, almost impossible, to believe what you could believe - but you can!"

Sri Siva manifesting techniques versus the Neville Goddard manifesting
I have been field testing the Sri Siva manifesting techniques versus the Neville Goddard manifesting techniques and here is my verdict.
When I switched, it seemed like everything went to hell in a hand basket.
Things that were getting better seemed to, no scratch that, GOT worse.
Maybe it was the old switching horses in midstream thing.
But anyway, I personally am going back to Neville's techniques.
I'm not saying the Ahhh and Ara Kara doesn't work.
I'm just telling you what happened with me.
As far as how long did I try it, well when you skydive and pull a ripcord, if that chute doesn't open, you don't just keep pulling the same one over and over HOPING it will work. You hit the emergency chute!
Neville said try his techniques, I did, and for me they work better.
If you have a different situation, please post it. I really hate for this blog to be one sided, I try to give a variety of view points on manifesting and manifesting techniques.
But right now Neville is 1 and 0 with me.

Manifesting: Ara Kara
Here is another technique taught by Sri Siva.
It's similar to the "Ahhh" but a little more involved.
Actually this sound includes "Ahh" in it.
The sound he recommends is Ara Kara. (Pronounced "AH-ruh KAH-ruh")
All you need do with it is say it. Internally or aloud. You just keep repeating those four syllables.
First pick a goal, like with the Ahhh meditation.
Again, start small. Or start with something that's doable. In theory manifesting a house is no harder than manifesting a rose. BUT, if you have mental blocks, manifesting a smaller object first may be easier for you.
Now, think about the goal VIVIDLY while making the sound "Ara Kara", aloud or silently. Picture it as already done, don't worry about the why or how.
Do this as often as you like. You can do it constantly.

Sri Siva's Manifesting process
Sri Siva's Manifesting process
First fix in your mind something you really want to manifest. Starting out, make it something that you really think could happen to make it easier at first.
Then imagine a column of enegry starting at your root chakra and going up through your body to your third eye chakra.
Next, Close your eyes and make the sound " Aaaaaaah" out loud while you imagine the energy traveling from your root chakra up through your body and out of your third eye. Turn your eyeballs up slightly(still closed) and picture the goal like you are watching it on a TV.
Try this once a day for two weeks, maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Or use a mala string with 108 beads to count the Ahhhhs. Or just do it till you feel like you have done it enough.
Wayne Dyer has a "Meditations for Manifesting" CD that you could easily use for this.
You'll notice this differs from Neville Goddard in you are seeing the goal fullfilled rather than " being" the goal fullfilled.

MANIFESTING (as described by Neville Goddard) part 6
MANIFESTING
(as described by Neville Goddard)
Revision 12/09/2003
By Shawn Regan
The 10 aspects of correct manifesting
5. Feeling
"...you must assume the feeling of the fulfillment of your desire until you are possessed by it and this feeling crowds all other ideas out of your consciousness." – Neville
If you truly desire something when you acquire it you should achieve an emotional peak of sorts. By imagining the feeling of receiving what you wish you can concentrate on this feeling and amplify it until the only thing you are aware of is this wonderful feeling of the wish fulfilled.
“There is a definite feeling associated with every idea in the mind of man." - Neville
"Feeling is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious. Therefore, the man who does not control his feeling may easily impress the subconscious with undesirable states. By control of feeling is not meant restraint or suppression of your feeling, but rather the disciplining of self to imagine and entertain only such feeling as contributes to your happiness." - Neville
"Whatever the mind of man can conceive and feel as true, the subconscious can and must objectify." - Neville
"Whenever you become completely absorbed in an emotional state, you are at that moment assuming the feeling of the state fulfilled. If persisted in, whatsoever you are intensely emotional about you will experience in your world.
These periods of absorption, of concentrated attention, are the beginnings of the things you harvest. It is in such moments that you are exercising your creative power - the only creative power there is." - Neville
"Feeling is the secret of successful prayer. Feel yourself into the situation of your answered prayer by living and acting upon your conviction.
Feeling gradually unfolds the soul's hidden capacities.
It is the ferment without which no creation is possible." - Neville

" Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard, part 8
You never attract that which you want but always attract that which you are conscious of being.
Prayer is the art of assuming the feeling of being and having that which you want.
When the senses confirm the absence of your wish, all conscious effort to counteract this suggestion is futile and tends to intensify the suggestion.
Prayer is the art of yielding to the wish and not the forcing of the wish. Whenever your feeling is in conflict with your wish, feeling will be the victor – the dominant feeling invariably expresses itself.
Prayer must be without effort. In attempting to fix an attitude of mind which is denied by the senses, effort is fatal.
To yield successfully to the wish as an accomplished fact, you must create a passive state, a kind of reverie or meditative reflection similar to the feeling which precedes sleep. In such a relaxed state the mind is turned from the objective world and easily senses the reality of a subjective state. It is a state in which you are conscious and quite able to move or open your eyes but have no desire to do so.
An easy way to create this passive state is to relax in a comfortable chair or on a bed. If on a bed, lie flat on your back with your head on a level with your body, close the eyes and imagine that you are sleepy. Feel I am sleepy, so sleepy, so very sleepy. In a little while a faraway feeling accompanied by a general lassitude and loss of all desire to move envelopes you. You feel a pleasant, comfortable rest and not inclined to alter your position, although under other circumstances you would not be at all comfortable. When this passive state is reached, imagine that you have realized your wish - not how it was realized - but simply the wish fulfilled. Imagine in picture form what you desire to achieve in life; then feel yourself as having already achieved it. Thoughts produce tiny little speech movements which may be heard in the passive state of prayer as pronouncements from without. However, this degree of passivity is not essential to the realization of your prayers. All that is necessary is to create a passive state and feel the wish fulfilled.
All you can possibly need or desire is already yours. You need no helper to give it to you - it is yours now. Call your desires into being by imagining and feeling your wish fulfilled. As the end is accepted you become totally indifferent as to possible failure, for acceptance of the end wills the means to that end. When you emerge from the moment of prayer it is as though you were shown the happy and successful end of a play although you were not shown how that end was achieved.
However, having witnessed the end, regardless of any anticlimactic sequence you remain calm and secure in the knowledge that the end has been perfectly defined.

" Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard, part 6
No matter what the problem is, no matter where it is, no matter whom it concerns, you have no one to change but yourself, and you have neither opponent nor helper in bringing about the change within yourself.
You have nothing to do but convince yourself of the truth of that which you desire to see manifested.
As soon as you succeed in convincing yourself of the reality of the state sought, results follow to confirm your fixed belief. You never suggest to another the state which you desire to see him express; instead you convince yourself that he is already that which you desire him to be.
Realization of your wish is accomplished by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
You cannot fail unless you fail to convince yourself of the reality of your wish. A change of belief is confirmed by a change of expression. Every night as you drop off to sleep feel satisfied and spotless, for your subjective lover always forms the objective world in the image and likeness of your conception of it, the conception defined by your feeling.
The waking two-thirds of your life on earth ever corroborates or bears witness to your subconscious impressions. The actions and events of the day are effects; they are not causes. Free will is only freedom of choice. “Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve” is your freedom to choose the kind of mood you assume; but the expression of the mood is the secret of the subconscious. The subconscious receives impressions only through the feelings of man and in a way known only to itself gives these impressions form and expression. The actions of man are determined by his subconscious impressions. His illusion of free will, his belief in freedom of action, is but ignorance of the causes which make him act. He thinks himself free because he has forgotten the link between himself and the event.
Man awake is under compulsion to express his subconscious impressions. If in the past he unwisely impressed himself, then let him begin to change his thought and feeling, for only as he does so will he change his world. Do not waste one moment in regret, for to think feelingly of the mistakes of the past is to re-infect yourself. “Let the dead bury the dead.”
Turn from appearances and assume the feeling that would be yours were you already the one you wish to be.
Feeling a state produces that state. The part you play on the world’s stage is determined by your conception of yourself. By feeling your wish fulfilled and quietly relaxing into sleep, you cast yourself in a star role to be played on earth tomorrow, and while asleep you are rehearsed and instructed in your part.
The acceptance of the end automatically wills the means of realization. Make no mistake about this. If, as you prepare for sleep, you do not consciously feel yourself into the state of the answered wish, then you will take with you into the chamber of her who conceived you the sum total of the reactions and feelings of the waking day; and while asleep you will be instructed in the manner in which they will be expressed tomorrow. You will rise believing that you are a free agent, not realizing that every action and event of the day is predetermined by your concept of self as you fell asleep.
Your only freedom then is your freedom of reaction. You are free to choose how you feel and react to the day’s drama, but the drama the actions, events and circumstances of the day have already been determined.
Unless you consciously and purposely define the attitude of mind with which you go to sleep, you unconsciously go to sleep in the composite attitude of mind made up of all feelings and reactions of the day. Every reaction makes a subconscious impression and, unless counteracted by an opposite and more dominant feeling, is the cause of future action. Ideas enveloped in feeling are creative actions. Use your divine right wisely. Through your ability to think and feel you have dominion over all creation.
While you are awake you are a gardener selecting seed for your garden, but
“Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”
Your conception of yourself as you fall asleep is the seed you drop into the ground of the subconscious. Dropping off to sleep feeling satisfied and happy compels conditions and events to appear in your world which confirm these attitudes of mind.
Sleep is the door into heaven. What you take in as a feeling you bring out as a condition, action, or object in space. So sleep in the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
“As in consciousness, so on earth.”
All things gravitate to that consciousness with which they are in tune.
Likewise, all things disentangle themselves from that consciousness with which
they are out of tune. Divide the wealth of the world equally among all men and
in a short time this equal division will be as originally dis portioned. Wealth
will find it's way back into the pockets of those from whom it was taken.
Instead of joining the chorus of the have-nots who insist on destroying those
who have, recognize this changeless law of expression. Consciously define
yourself as that which you desire.

they are out of tune.

Manifesting Your Heart's Desire, part 3
It is said not only in Metaphysical teachings but in the Bible as well "that even before one has asked, it shall be given". So just maybe, it really is meant to be fun and easy and enjoyable and blissful. Just maybe it is possible to manifest things more and more quickly until we all reach a point of literally pulling things out of thin air. Everything we could possibly need is already here. We shift our consciousness from one of lack to abundance and then abundance appears in our lives. We shift our focus from ill health to great health and that too appears in our lives. I know from personal experience that shifting from expecting problems to expecting the best produces
amazing results. And quickly too!
We are already literally pulling things to us out of the "unseen" that is Spirit. We I'm ress upon the Divine energy that is within us and every single thing we can name (and those things we are currently unaware of) what it is we desire either consciously or by default, and
here it comes. It has to. It is Universal Law. Every spiritual master down through the ages has stated this as absolute fact. They have also stated that it is truth that if they can do it, so can you and I.
Several years ago I was guided to fly to New York City for a week. I had no idea where the money would come from. New York is not the least expensive destination in the world and my bank balance certainly wasn't brimming over to the point where I could pay my bills and still
be able to take this journey. Yet when talking to friends about it, all of them, to the last man/woman said they had no worries that the money would come. Each of them saw me in NYC and enjoying myself and doing what ever it was I needed to be doing there. It just didn't
occur to any of them that I would not be able to afford to go. They were right. Money started coming from surprising sources. One friend suddenly sold her home that had been on the market for ages without even a nibble and yet suddenly, there it was selling which left her
flushed with abundance. Bless her, she shared some of that abundance with me "because of all you have done for me and because I love you" and that was the final amount I needed. Just recently another friend said to me "you have always been good at attracting to you what you
need" and upon reflection, I realized she was right! Each time I truly desired something in my life, it has manifested. Not always in ways I would have expected, yet it has manifested. Why? What was I doing that was empowering me to manifest and how could I better harness it so I
could manifest the really BIG things I have desired for years and yet still seem just a bit out of reach?

Manifesting Your Heart's Desire, part 2
Manifesting Your Heart's Desire
( The following is an excerpt from the introduction to the book
Manifesting Your Heart's Desire, Authors Fred Fengler and Todd Varnum:)
I believe, no, I KNOW that we are all capable of manifesting many wonderful things in our lives. That each of us has come into this lifetime with the ability to send forth our thoughts and emotions with such great focus and intensity that we automatically attract a wide
range of experiences and things to ourselves. Most of us do this by default; we focus on things we don't want as well as the things we do want and thus our lives are a mixed bag of experiences. Yet, what would happen if a group of people decided to commit to finding the
easiest and quickest ways possible of recreating life experience so that it more accurately reflects the beauty and abundance of our own Souls? Which by the way, do not experience lack, worry or fear. Ever.
Admittedly, I am not the most patient of people and I can be downright lazy when it comes to "working hard" to manifest something I desire in my life. I have done my share of burning both ends of the candle, beating my head against a wall trying to bang something into place,
struggled with issues that I thought would be with me forever. When I really desire something, I desire it NOW, not next week, next month or five years from now. Traits that I was taught were not so wonderful indeed! Yet, my own guidance started me thinking: what if my desire to
manifest something in the blink of an eye is really my own Soul, my Expanded Self, sharing with me that it IS supposed to be that way! What if my desire to have things come easily is once again my own beloved Expanded Self whispering "YES!" What if two of the traits that
my family has bemoaned over the years are some of the very things that could help me launch new creations that are far more enjoyable in an easy and rapid manner.

What is the Flow ? Part 4
This way of life requires paying attention to meaningful coincidence.
Caylor, for example, could have disregarded his dream and turned down
the Denver job. But over time he had developed a strong respect for
what he considers signs from the Universe, both subtle and
unmistakable. He has learned that by paying attention to these signs,
he reaches new levels of comprehension about his inner life and his
role in the world.
"Synchronicity is lyrical - a little sprite of a surprise, a little
gift," he says. "It can get so big that everything can start to talk
to you; everything can suggest things. When you enter that dimension,
synchronicity becomes part of your self-definition."
Think of the times synchronicity has happened in your life. It might
be when you thought of someone and the phone rang with that person on
the other end. Maybe you ran across someone from home in a faraway
place when you were feeling lonely, or the same number repeated itself
at significant times, or unlikely events dramatically converged to
save you in a tight spot.
When you experience flow on a daily basis, synchronicities such as
these are as natural to you as breathing. Although by its very nature,
synchronicity cannot be created, controlled, or planned, when you live
a life of flow, you can practically depend on synchronicity to show
up.

What is the Flow ? Part 3
Most of us have had experiences of being in flow. In those times, we
know we're in the right place at the right time doing the right thing.
We feel both exhilarated and at peace, somehow connected to something
larger and greater than ourselves. Life is rich with meaning, magic
and purpose. We feel vital, alive, joyful. But for most of us, it
doesn't happen often enough or for long enough. We feel glimmerings of
flow, and then they fade away.
This doesn't have to be the case: people like Caylor have learned to
make flow their way of life, the rule rather than the exception. The
way they do it is through synchronicity -- those meaningful
coincidences in which outside events, seemingly disconnected in time
and space, link up with our internal states and connect us with the
greater whole.
When synchronicity happens, people like Caylor follow the direction it
seems to indicate - and then they watch synchronicity happen more and
more. They know they are deeply in flow when synchronicity is sparking
all around them. By using synchronicity for guidance, confirmation,
and validation, their lives become a dance of energy with the
Universe, a give-and-take with their environment that fills their days
with insight and zest.

What is the Flow ? Part 2
Caylor wears no wings, sees no auras. But to him, life works in
magical and surprising ways when he's connected to a deeper force in
the Universe - and he knows he's connected because he feels it
physically, as a soft, warm feeling inside that links him to a sweet
expansiveness. When he's in that state, he experiences meaningful
coincidence after meaningful coincidence. "They add magic to my life,
and tell me that the action I'm taking is safe and true and right," he
says. And they point the way to new opportunities: "Although I loved
Austin, I was starting to feel bored and a little stuck professionally
and personally," he says now. "I thought that Denver might open the
way in my life to some Important changes."
Caylor lives in flow - and through it he has come into a fuller, truer
existence. Flow is the natural, effortless unfolding of our lives in a
way that moves us toward wholeness and harmony. When we are in flow,
occurences line up, events fall into place, and obstacles melt away.
Rather than life being a meaningless struggle, it is permeated with a
deep sense of purposefulness and order. Flow has tremendous power to
transform our lives, for it is dynamic and moves us unerringly toward
joy and aliveness.

What is Flow?
What is Flow?
Flow is the natural, effortless unfolding of our lives
in a way that moves us toward wholeness and harmony.
Introduction to "The Power of Flow"
by Charlene Belitz and Meg Lundstrom
Awakening one morning in his sunny Austin bedroom, Caylor Wadlington
heard himself saying out loud, "So I'm moving to Denver?" The words
were part exclamation, part question, and they woke him up completely.
As surprised as he was, he also experienced a happy, pleasurable
feeling. But by the next day, he had dismissed the whole thing as just
an odd dream. After all, he was cozily ensconced in Austin, where he
had lived eight years, and he knew hardly a soul in Denver.
Then, out of the blue came a phone call from an officer of his
national professional association, who invited Caylor to participate
in a week-long work meeting - in Denver. Hmmm. . . .maybe there is
something to this, Caylor thought, and without further hesitation he
said yes.
In Denver, after the meeting ended, Caylor was chatting with another
participant, a man who ran a school in the city. "Caylor, if you ever
want to live here, I'd like to hire you to teach for me," he said.
Caylor thanked him calmly, but inside he was stunned: This is amazing!
Walls are coming down to open the way for me to move here!
To leave Austin, however, would require selling a professional
business that was so specialized he figured it would take at least a
year to find a buyer. Quietly beginning to look around, Caylor invited
a friend to Sunday brunch and, over coffee and pastries, laid out the
prospect. His friend was not interested, but just as he said no, a
colleague of theirs walked in. Caylor had not thought of him as a
buyer, but struck by the timing, he told him his business was for
sale. The colleague was more than interested - he was thrilled.
"Don't tell another soul!" he said excitedly. "I definitely want it."
This seems to be happening all by itself, mused Caylor. Then he
received a letter from his landlord: Caylor's condominium was going to
be put on the market. A dream, an opportunity, an offer, the boot -
the message was unmistakable. Caylor willingly closed down his life in
charming Austin, and moved to Denver.

Part Nine: Where has all the Magic Gone?
Coming to understand that "I am" is the engine of creation has worked
wonders in my life. When I began to pay attention to what I was
thinking and saying about myself and my circumstances, it shocked me.
It didn't take long to draw parallels from these thoughts to my
circumstances in life. So, I thought long and hard about the person I
wanted to be and the characteristics that I wanted to display. And I
began saying them in the "I am" context during my morning meditations.
I am compassionate, I am creative, I am understanding, I am patient, I
am in a job that allows me to be free. These ideas of myself became
ingrained in me and I started finding myself displaying these
characteristics in life. And then I really believed that I was these
things because well, I was. I saw it, I experienced it. And,
like an engine that continues to produce, my life began to flow from
these "I am" statements.
If you continue to make the effort to eliminate the negative beliefs
from your self-definition and consciously, purposefully empower
yourself with positive "I am" statements, you will see real magic come
into your world. I promise. "I am" statements, when they are really
believed and acted upon, can change your entire life. You can create a
new career for yourself, meet the perfect person, establish the
perfect relationship, get the best job, or whatever it is you truly
desire.
Now, that's what I call magic.

Part Eight: Where has all the Magic Gone?
Try it. Look out into the room and try to will something, anything, to
magically appear before you. You know, somewhere down deep in your
mind, that it wont really work. Right?
Well, I'm just like you. While I believe that someday in the
distant future humankind will be able to control their physical
universe, I don't believe that Ill ever be able to do
it. And so I wont.
But I do believe that a different kind of magic can be readily
performed in our lives. We may not be able to twitch our noses and
make things appear, but we can consciously, purposefully, "magically"
create the circumstances that we want to experience in our lives. And
we do this by our self-definition. Self-definition comes from the most
powerful tool each person holds" the phrase "I am."
The phrase "I am" is so powerful because it sets the creative process
in motion. "I am" is the engine of creation. It is pure belief
reacting with the energetic field of potentiality that results in
physical manifestation. Each one of us designs himself or herself by
the "I am" thought. When you think or say the phrase "I am," you will
experience whatever comes after that phrase. I cringe when I hear
people say things like, "I am so stupid!" or "I am so ugly." For you
own sake, catch yourself when these things pop into your mind. Relax.
Then restate your thought. Think, "I feel stupid right now, but I know
I'm not. I am an intelligent person that just made a mistake."

Part Seven: Where has all the Magic Gone?
When I say, "a thought rooted in truth" I am talking about belief.
Belief is defined in the American Heritage Dictionary as "the mental
acceptance of truth."
Think back to how magic was performed throughout history. Incantations
were chanted, spells were cast, elaborate potions were mixed. In
Jesus' case, prayers were said. Logically, we all know that
combining a list of disparate, and many times disgusting, things in a
big pot creates only a mess. So what created the magic? It was the
pure belief the person had in what they were doing. In other words,
if they were truly convinced that chanting the incantation, or saying
the spell, or prayer, or mixing the potion would produce the desired
effect, then it would. Jesus was able to feed five thousand people
with only two fish and five loaves of bread because he believed so
strongly, down in the very fiber of his being, that God would somehow
make it happen.
The ironic thing is that we are all magic, we are all creating our
circumstances at all times. And we do this through the beliefs we
hold. What we consider magic (creating something out of thin air,
levitating objects, instantly traveling from one place to another
without passing through the space between) is impossible for the
common person because we don't believe it to be possible. And
no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves that we can make an
object appear out of thin air, there is still a part of our mind that
does not believe it will really work. And that belief is the force
creating the experience and the reason nothing appears in front of
you.
