Make It or Break It...Aftermath

Here I am about 400 miles North of where I was.
We have a chance to breathe, stop and get back on our feet.
Yes it wasn't what I was asking for, but in many ways, this is better.

So with all the imagining I was doing...why wasn't the exact thing I was focused on brought into being?

Well maybe you aren't supposed to focus on something, maybe you are supposed to trust in the Higher Power to give you what you need.

Maybe "Thy will be done" is what we should focus on.

After this, I have pretty much shifted away from Neville Goddard and Joseph Murphy, and moved on to other things.

Because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

The results were not what I wanted, so it's time to move on to something else.

And I already have something I am using now, and I seem to be getting better results.
More on that when I get more definite results.

Joseph Murphy - Your Infinite Power to Be Rich

Divine Science minister and author Joseph Murphy was born on May 20, 1898 in Ireland and passed away on December 16, 1981.
As you may recall (if you keep up with this blog) Dr. Murphy and Neville Goddard both studied under the Esoteric Christianity teacher, Abdullah.
I really wish I could find out something about Abdullah, but the only references on the net I can find are related to Murphy and Goddard.
If anyone out there has any background, please let us know.

Anyway, I have started reading Dr. Murphy's 1966 book, Your Infinite Power to Be Rich.
As I have said before, Neville's teachings and Murphy's are quite alike (due to Abdullah I suppose) but they do differ on a few points.
And since I am very much into everyone finding their own path, I would suggest reading both and maybe finding your own common ground.

Back to Your Infinite Power to Be Rich, whereas Murphy's book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind is broader, Your Infinite Power to Be Rich focuses on just that, wealth creation.
The book is about how to use affirmations to materialize wealth, mental focus, and it includes many, many affirmations.
Why so many?
Well as I have pointed out here before, everyone is different.
What works like a charm for one, may not work at all for another.
That's why the term "Fool Proof" bothers me so much.
There is no one technique that works for everyone.

But, since I like to share, I will tell you one that I am having great success with right now.
"God fulfills my every need now."
I have seen a couple of things happen since I started this one that could very well go under the "miracle" category.
But like I said, everyone is different.
If you dont believe in God, I dont think that affirmation is going to help you very much, you know?

I wish I could tell you where to find this book online for free, but so far, I have not seen it.
If anyone out there has a link, feel free to share it.
I do know you can buy it at Amazon, and our local Barnes and Noble carries it, so it's not hard to find.

Here is an excerpt from the first chapter....

"There is no virtue whatsoever in poverty, which in actual fact is a mental disease, and it should be abolished from the face of the earth. You are here to find your true place in life, and to give of your talents to the world. You are here to expand and unfold in a wonderful way, according to a God-given potential, and to bring forth spiritual, mental, and material riches, which will bless humanity in countless ways. Learn how to surround yourself always with beauty, and luxury, and realize your inalienable right to live, liberty, freedom and peace of mind."

The only thing I dont like with Dr. Murphy (as opposed to Goddard) is that Murphy's affirmations are at times way too long for me.
I prefer Goddard's "no more than three words" affirmations because to me they are easier.
But you might be a different case altogether.
So again, I would recommend giving the book a try and see what you think.

Creating Wealth - Rearrange The Mind, Neville Goddard

I have mentioned 100kwatt's YouTube channel and how he has a lot of Neville lectures posted there that you can listen to.I have been listening a lot to one lecture in particular, "Rearrange The Mind".
Of course you need to listen to the whole lecture, but the last part (part 5 of 5) seems to me to crystallize everything he says in the lecture.
Especially starting at about the 6:00 minute mark...

"Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong."
Joel 3:10 (KJV)

This goes back to Neville saying that you should imagine what you want to be, not what you are.
Even if it flies in the face of all logic, if you are weak, say you are strong, if you are poor, say you are rich.
You can be satisfied with where you are, or you can change where you are.

I'm not advocating just thinking and doing nothing.
Or as another famous man said:

"To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?"

As Neville said, go about your business and do your Father's work.
We live in the land of Caesar and Caesar's requirements must be met.

But the first step to change is to mentally changing where you are.
Change your "State".
All the physical change in the world wont do you any good unless you first change your mind.

Change "I am sick, I'll never get better because I am sick" to "I am healthy."
Change "I am poor, things will never get better." to "I am rich."

Assume that you are what you want to be right now and go from there.
You can be sick, and if you do not change your mind set, you can take all the drugs, treatments in the world and you will stay sick, or relapse into the sickness.

You can be poor and get the best job in the world, the best education, and if you don't change your state, you will be right back where you started from in no time.

And the cool thing about this is that you can mentally change right now as you are reading this.
You don't have to wait, or take a seminar or read a series of books.
Just close your eyes, and imagine what it would feel like to be free of your burdens.
Hold onto that.
Just feel the relief, the peace, the joy.
Then every time fear and doubt come back into your mind, do it again.
When you doubt, you return to your former state, so you have to get back out of that state and back into the state that you want to be in.

It probably wont be easy.
It isn't easy for me.
I have so many things staring me down right now it's not even funny.
But I close my eyes, take a deep breath, exhale and imagine it's all taken care of.
I am where I want to be, who I want to be.
Then I continue on "doing my Father's work".

More From "The Magic of Faith"

Here's another bit from "The Magic of Faith" by Dr. Joseph Murphy, 1954.

"I told a man in one of the islands one time "to sleep" on the idea of success. He was selling magazine subscriptions. He became a great success by following this procedure: I suggested that he think of success prior to sleep; i.e., what success meant to him; what he would do if he were successful. I told him to use his imagination; then as he was about to go to sleep, fall in love with the idea of success this way: Repeat the one word, "Success," over and over again. He should get into the mood of success; then fall off to sleep in the arms of his Everlasting Lover. Your Lover—your Divine Presence—will bring to pass whatever you accept as true. The conditions, experiences, and events of your life are called children of your mind."

Here again we have the "sleep manifesting" that Neville Goddard speaks about.
Quite the mind before sleep.
Fill your mind with the idea of what you want.
Really feel it.
Then drift off to sleep with the idea in your mind.

Sounds simple right?

WRONG!

LOL...no really, it can be very hard for some people.
You have to get the idea in your mind and get rid of other thoughts.

Example:

"I have to pay the house payment on Friday, it's Monday and I have no money."
Now you are supposed to quiet any anxious, fearful thoughts and focus on the payment already being made.
While you are trying to focus on the positive outcome, being homeless, in the streets etc., keeps coming into your mind.

Gently push the thought away and go back to positive.
Don't rail against it.
Just push it away and go back to your end result.
KEEP DOING IT!

Don't give in or give up.
In this case you are a warrior and you cannot take no as an answer, or surrender.
And guess who and what you are fighting?
Yourself.
Yes, to do this you must gain mastery over YOU, no one else.

If anyone out there remembers Pogo, think about what he once said....
"We have met the enemy and he is us."

Focus on that one word, be it success, or health or love or peace.

The Magic of Faith, Joseph Murphy

The Magic of Faith, Joseph Murphy

From The Magic of Faith, by Joseph Murphy.....

When you go to sleep tonight, forgive everyone. And imagine and feel your desire is fulfilled. Become absolutely and completely indifferent to all thought of failure, because you now know the law. As you accept the end, you have, as Troward so beautifully stated, willed the means to the realization of the end. As you are about to enter sleep, galvanize yourself into the feeling of being or having your desire. Your mental acceptance or your feeling as you go to sleep is the request you make of your Beloved; then She looks at your request (conviction in the subconscious mind), and being the Absolute Lover, she must give you what you asked.

"You feed among the lilies until the day breaks and the shadows flee away." The shadows are fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, and all the reasons why you cannot do something. The shadows of our five senses and race belief hover over the minds of all as we pray.

When you pray, accept as true what your reason and five senses deny and reject. Remain faithful to your idea by being full of faith every step of the way. When your consciousness is fully qualified with the acceptance of your desire, all the fear will go away. Trust in the reality of your ideal or desire until you are filled full of the feeling of being it; then the day will break and all shadows will flee away. Yes, the answer to your prayer will come, and light up the heavens of your mind bringing you peace.

No matter what the problem is, how acute, dark, or hopeless things seem to be, turn now to God, and say, "How is it in God and Heaven?" The answer will softly steal over your mind like the dew from heaven: "All is peace, joy, bliss, perfection, wholeness, harmony, and beauty"; then reject the evidence of your senses, and feed among the lilies of God and Heaven, such as peace, harmony, joy, and perfection. Realize what is true of God must be true of you and your surroundings. Continue in this abiding trust and faith in God "until the day breaks and the shadows flee away."

The Ultimate Sense, Neville Goddard

The Ultimate Sense, Neville Goddard

Now, in this shadow world you must learn to imitate him. If he dreamed you into being and is dreaming you through all of your worldly experiences, you can start to modify some of them by imitating him and dreaming your own particular dream. What would the feeling be like if your desire were true? I know from experience that it will come to pass, and I want to encourage everyone to try it.

Start tonight. Feel yourself into your desired state of consciousness. What would you be conscious of feeling if the world reflected your desire right now? I encourage you to use feeling, just as Isaac did in his story. As Isaac, you cannot see your desire as objective to yourself. It is Jacob, smooth-skinned and with no external reality while this objective world is Esau. You must clothe Jacob with such external qualities that he will feel objectively real to you. Touch has a fantastic sense of reality, so through the sense of touch and smell Isaac gave Jacob the right to be born.

Now, while you are still here you have needs which must be met and perhaps desires yet to be fulfilled, so I urge you to use the law by assuming that you have them, for your assumption is the beginning of your dream. Although your reasonable mind and your outer senses deny it your persistence will harden your assumption into fact. I have watched it happen unnumbered times. Your noble dreams will not interfere with the basic dream that is taking place in you, so take your wonderful dreams and persist in them. Walk as though they were true. Try to touch them and give them reality. If you can use the sense of odor try to detect it.

I don’t care who you are, I invite you to take the challenge. In the 13th chapter of 2 Corinthians you are asked this question: “Test yourself and see. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless of course you fail to meet the test.” Test God’s power and God’s wisdom, for encased in love you are testing the Christ seed within you. You can take anything and test this power. Do it just for the fun of it. Hold a long-stemmed rose in your hand. Touch its velvety petals and smell its heavenly aroma. Make a pledge to yourself that you will live by your imagination, for God has promised that you can assume a state and it will become a fact in his words: “Whatever you desire, believe you have received it and you will.” It can’t be stated any clearer than that. These are the words of an awakened man who is God, for every man who awakes in Jesus Christ is God, He who is forever extending himself.

" Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard, part 5

If, as you prepare for sleep, you assume and maintain the consciousness of success by feeling “I am successful,” you must be successful. Lie flat on your back with your head on a level with your body. Feel as you would were you in possession of your wish and quietly relax into unconsciousness.
“He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Nevertheless “He giveth his beloved sleep.”
The subconscious never sleeps. Sleep is the door through which the conscious, waking mind passes to be creatively joined to the subconscious. Sleep conceals the creative act while the objective world reveals it. In sleep man impresses the subconscious with his conception of himself.
What more beautiful description of this romance of the conscious and subconscious is there than that told in the “Song of Solomon”! “By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth.... I found him whom my soul loveth; I held him and I would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.”

Preparing to sleep, you feel yourself into the state of the answered wish, and then relax into unconsciousness. Your realized wish is he whom you seek. By night on your bed you seek the feeling of the wish fulfilled that you may take it with you into the chamber of her that conceived you, into sleep or the subconscious which gave you form, that this wish also may be given expression.
This is the way to discover and conduct your wishes into the subconscious. Feel your self in the state of the realized wish and quietly drop off to sleep.
Night after night you should assume the feeling of being, having and witnessing that which you seek to be, possess and see manifested. Never go to sleep feeling discouraged or dissatisfied. Never sleep in the consciousness of failure. Your subconscious, whose natural state is sleep, sees you as you believe yourself to be, and whether it be good, bad, or indifferent, the subconscious will faithfully embody your belief. As you feel so do you impress her; and she, the perfect lover, gives form to these Impressions and out-pictures them as the children of her beloved.
“Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee,” is the attitude of mind to adopt before dropping off to sleep. Disregard appearances and feel that things are as you wish them to be, for “He calleth things that are not seen as though they were, and the unseen becomes seen.” To assume the feeling of satisfaction is to call conditions into being which will mirror satisfaction. “Signs follow, they do not precede.” Proof that you are will follow the consciousness that you are; it will not precede it.
You are an eternal dreamer dreaming non-eternal dreams. Your dreams take form as you assume the feeling of their reality. Do not limit yourself to the past. Knowing that nothing is impossible to consciousness begin to imagine states beyond the experiences of the past. Whatever the mind of man can imagine man can realize. All objective (visible) states were first subjective (invisible) states ,and you called them into visible states by assuming the feeling of their reality. The creative process is first imagining and then believing the state imagined. Always imagine and expect the best.
The world cannot change until you change your conception of it. “As within so without.” Nations as well as people are only what you believe them to be.

" Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard, part 2

To feel intensely about a wrong without voicing or expressing that feeling, is the beginning of disease in both body and environment. Do not entertain the feeling of regret or failure for frustration or detachment from your objective results in disease.
Think feelingly only of the state you desire to realize.
Feeling the reality of the state sought and living and acting on that conviction is the way of all seeming miracles. All changes of expression are brought about through a change of feeling. A change of feeling is a change of destiny. All creation occurs in the domain of the subconscious. What you must acquire, then, is a reflective control of the operation of the subconscious, that is, control of your ideas and feelings.
Chance or accident is not responsible for the things that happen to you, nor is predestined fate the author of your fortune or misfortune. Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world.
The subconscious is not selective; it is Impersonal and no respecter of persons. The subconscious is not concerned with the truth or falsity of your feeling. It always accepts as true that which you feel to be true. Feeling is the assent of the subconscious to the truth of that which is declared to the truth. Because of this quality of the subconscious there is nothing I'm ossible to man.
Whatever the mind can conceive and feel as true, the subconscious can and must objectify.
Your feelings created the pattern from which your world is fashioned, and a change of feeling is a change of pattern. The subconscious never fails to express that which has been impressed upon it. The moment it receives an impression it begins to work out the ways of its expression. It accepts the feeling impressed upon it, your feeling, as a fact existing within itself and immediately sets about to produce in the outer or objective world the exact likeness of that feeling. The subconscious never alters the accepted beliefs of man – it out-pictures them to the last detail whether or not they are beneficial.
To impress the subconscious with the desirable state you must assume the feeling that would be yours had you already realized your wish. In defining your objective you must be concerned only with the objective itself. The manner of expression or the difficulties involved are not to be considered by you. To think feelingly on any state impresses it on the subconscious.
Therefore, if you dwell on difficulties, barriers or delay, the subconscious, by its very non-selective nature, accepts the feeling of difficulties and obstacles as your request and proceeds to produce them in your outer world.
The subconscious is the womb of creation.
It receives the idea unto itself through the feelings of man. It never changes the idea received, but always gives it form. Hence the subconscious out-pictures the idea in the image and likeness of the feeling received. To feel a state as hopeless or I'm ossible is to impress the subconscious with the idea of failure.
Although the subconscious faithfully serves man it must not be inferred that the relation is that of a servant to a master as was anciently conceived. The ancient prophets called it the slave and servant of man. St. Paul personified it as a “woman” and said:
“The woman should be subject to man in everything.” The subconscious does serve man and faithfully gives form to his feelings. However, the subconscious has a distinct distaste for compulsion and responds to persuasion rather than to command; consequently, it resembles the beloved wife more than the servant.
“The husband is head of the wife,” Eph. 5, may not be true of man and woman in their earthly relationship but it is true of the conscious and the subconscious, or the male and female aspects of consciousness. The mystery to which Paul referred when he wrote, “This is a great mystery.... He that loveth his wife loveth himself.... And they two shall be one flesh,” is simply the mystery of consciousness. Consciousness is really one and undivided but for creation’s sake it appears to be divided into two.
The conscious (objective) or male aspect truly is the head and dominates the subconscious (subjective) or female aspect. However, this leadership is not that of the tyrant but of the lover.
So by assuming the feeling that would be yours were you already in possession of your objective, the subconscious is moved to build the exact likeness of your assumption.

What is the Flow ? Part 7

Our conclusion from this research process is that flow is the ultimate
feedback machine. Flow responds directly to our beliefs, behaviors,
and actions. We can either enhance this state of perfect timing and
flawless serendipity, or we can diminish it and even cut it off. When
we become open, willing, trusting, we experience flow as fulfillment
and joy, and synchronicities pop up all over the place. When we become
fearful, doubting, controlling, flow diminishes, our day is filled
with blocks and frustrations, and synchronicities cease.

In this book, we have distilled the major beliefs, attitudes and
behaviors of the flowmasters into the nine attributes that engage
flow: commitment, honesty, courage, passion, immediacy, openness,
receptivity, positivity, and trust. We have offered fourteen practical
techniques for you to deepen those attributes in yourself; you'll find
them in chapters 7 through 11. We based the techniques on established
psychological and communication theories, and people in the focus
groups tried them out in their lives. Their enthusiastic feedback
assured us that, yes, we all have it within ourselves to expand into
meaning, lightness, and serenity. We don't have to be yogis chanting
mantras in icy Himalayan caves to live in this state of inner peace.
Because synchronicity is the key -and synchronicity occurs to
absolutely everyone, including you - we all have it within ourselves
to live in flow.

What is the Flow ? Part 6

The flowmasters did not have only one approach to life. Some were
feisty and engaged in changing the world; some were gentle and
relaxed; some had the exuberance of children; some had thoughtful,
deliberate ways. Looking back over our discussions, commonalities
emerged. The flowmasters were open; they stretched themselves to learn
and grow; they had deep integrity; they constantly felt steadfastly
grateful; and they were dedicated to living by their inner truths.
Being with them made us feel richer, and hours of engrossing
conversation passed like minutes.

Valuable information came from two other sources as well. In response
to magazine and newspaper articles, hundreds of people from all over
the country filled out surveys on their experiences and beliefs. And
we organized nine focus groups involving 98 people across the country
who hashed through the topics, processes, and techniques we'd learned
from the flowmasters. The flowmaster interviews, surveys, and group
discussions were transcribed and sorted by subject matter into 241
categories. When printed out - a 12-hour process - the reports filled
nearly 1,600 pages.

What is the Flow ? Part 5

Notice the words: it's when you experience flow - not if. That's
because the power of flow is absolutely attainable. To experience it
requires first of all that you choose to undertake that process. Then
you must develop the necessary skills, much as you do when you learn
to ride a bike: it takes focus to learn the basics and practice to
make it second nature - but once you know how to do it, you enjoy ease
and smoothness and elation. Flow is a lifelong process that is rich
with rewards all along the way, and this book shows you how to
undertake it.

To understand how flow works, we interviewed fifty "flowmasters" -
people highly engaged in the process of flow. They range in age from
seventeen to ninety-six and include lawyers, dancers, secretaries,
students, foundation heads, middle managers, therapists, professors,
consultants, homemakers, teachers, activists, health professionals, a
minister, a rancher, an inventor. We spent absorbing hours with them,
delving into why their lives have purpose, inner ease and joyfulness.
We asked them about their turning points, their beliefs, their daily
practices. We explored why life works so well for them, and what they
do day to day to experience flow consciously and consistently.

THE POWER OF INTENTION -Deepak Chopra

THE POWER OF INTENTION

The power of intention is a critical factor in all areas of life.
Simply by intending to create synchronicity in your life, you can
nurture that result.

Meditation prayer, visualization techniques, abundance manifestation, manifest money

In Vedic teaching, there is am important concept relating to spiritual
evolution and the role that cosmic intention plays in our lives. This
is the concept of dharma, and understanding what dharma means is
essential to bringing synchronicity into your life.

Dharma is a Sanskrit word that refers to the natural path a person is
intended to follow through life. Your dharma is your destiny - but it
is destiny without any hint of compulsion or force. On the contrary,
your dharma is the path of least resistance. It's the course that is
most right and most nourishing ? that brings you the greatest
fulfillment and the most happiness.

Ask An Angel Newsletter Vol. 8 May 17, 2006

"Have you ever wondered why one person walking down a dark alley at night will get mugged while the previous person goes by untouched? Bad things happen to apparently 'good' people and good things happen to seemingly 'bad' people all based upon the level of energy that they are vibrating at.
You are like a radio tower that is constantly transmitting a certain frequency into the Universe. Your thoughts and feelings create an energetic vibration that is sent out into the world. This vibration is then reflected back to you by the Universe, producing physical results in your personal world.
The truth is that we are always creating something. Whether you are manifesting what you want or what you don't want depends on the level of your vibration. We are like manifesting magnets! We attract what mirrors our feelings and thinking patterns. So what we send out is EXACTLY what we get back!"
