My mother passed away last Thursday.
She had been in poor health for months, and she was 83.
I did the " seeing her as well" and the " Thank you Father" and the " Isn't it wonderful?" but she died anyway.
Why?
Well, a few nights before she passed, we had to rush her to the ER.
Laying there on the bed, hooked up to monitors, IVs, sensors, she began to writhe and say " Please let me go!" over and over.
At first I thought she was talking to the nurses, but then I realized what it was.
She didn't want to be here anymore.
Most of her family was dead, including her husband, my father, who had died years ago.
While she recovered I still pictured her as well, and the day before she passed she looked almost like I saw her in my thoughts. Clear eyed, coherent...she looked good.
When I left her that day I told her I loved her, kissed her and went home.
The next morning at 11:00 an orderly called and said she was supposed to get her hair washed and cut, but she refused. 83 years old and she was arguing with them. I just laughed and said " That sounds about right." She always was feisty.
One hour later at 12:00 they called back and said she was non responsive and that they had called 911.
By the time we got to the hospital, she was gone.
Why?
I did what I was supposed to, but she died anyway.
I think It was because her will to go was greater.
She wanted to go. She wanted to be with the others she had missed for so long.
I was asking God to let her stay, she was asking God to let her go.
And she just peacefully closed her eyes and left.
After we left the hospital, I was upset, understandably, so I went to Barnes and Noble where it's peaceful and quiet. I wandered around a bit and a book caught my eye.
It was " Zero Limits" by Joe Vitale. I've always liked Joe's stuff, so I picked it up and started reading it.
I bought it and began to read it in my spare time.
I have to tell you, that book helped me a lot with my grief.
I think I'll go a little more into the book in future entries. I don't think Joe wrote it for a situation like I was in, but it helped me anyway.
So yes, I have to recommend it.

Hi there. This is just a brief note with kind thoughts re the loss of your mother. It is harder for the soul remaining but she (in my spiritual view) is in the light and is happier. btw I found your site when trying to find out more about Abdullah. Do let me know if you manage. Cheers Euphrosene
Thank you very much.
I'm still trying to find out more about Abdullah, but that one link so far is all I have been able to come across.
